- yes look for a spray lube its is by FEHR and it is garage door lube. If you can not fiind that use 30w motor oil in a squirt can. shoot lube on hinge points on hinges and squirt some in rollers. get an old rag put oil on it run along bottom of rail of operator and rub on sprins at least one to two inches from each end. Do not use WD40 it will evaporate and cause it to rust faster
- Q: A couple of months ago my driver-side doors lock wouldn't work with the fob, it still locks and unlocks manually with the key. A couple months after the driver-side automatic lock stopped working, the back right door did the same thing. I think it probably has to do with a fuse, but am not sure. I know many other people have had the same problem but have had to pay a ton to get it fixed. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is and how to fix it?
- First check the fuses, if that does not resolve the issue you will probably need to replace the door lock actuators. They are relatively inexpensive and fairly easy to install.

- It sounds like there's an obstruction and the garage door opens back up again automatically. Or, someone has broken the code - have you ever seen the inside of the remote? - You can rotate the frequency around. It takes a long time and it's annoying, but someone can find the right one and get in. You could put up a hidden camera, or a FAKE hidden camera. ...Or, you could unplug the opener and issue keys to that door. When someone comes home, they plug it back in, open the door, close it, then pull the plug again. Hey, does the door open manually? - you might need to disable the door if it opens that way.

- I have a copy of the Chilton repair manual I'll sell you for $10 if you're interested. I had a '96, the book is good through '98 and is in almost new condition. Hard to tell if it's your switch or actuator without testing both.

- If your year of truck came with electric locks as an option, the plug will be in the door. All you have to do is add the hardware, change out the door panels to fit the buttons.
- Q: We have a Chrysler town & country van that is about 5 years old. It has automatic doors where you press a button to open the sliding side doors, but recently one of the doors gets stuck in the middle and you have to push the door the rest of the way. We cannot see anything stuck on the track and we have tried oiling it, but as time goes on place where the door stops is gradually moving. Any ideas on what the problem is? Thanks!
- The wiring harness for the door (it looks like a plastic bicyle chain) has a broken wire. When the door slides back to a certain point, the wire comes apart. Replacement should be about $150-200 dollars. If you are handy, you can try to open up the harness and repair the broken wires.
