Q:Bench pressing question?
Hey Michael! The average man who has not lifted weights before should be able to bench approx 60Kg or 130lbs (Strength wise) once they're familiar with the technique that is. Use the principle of 'progressive overload' to gauge when you should increase the weight -depending on your goals. e.g. 3 sets of 8-12 reps at your working weight is a good guideline for maximum muscle growth Start with a weight you can do for 3 sets of 8 reps Try to Increase your reps each workout When you can complete 3 sets of 12 reps increase the weight and start again 5lb increases are perfect for an exercise such as the bench press For strength 5 sets of 5 is the best routine and allows for heavier lifting Apply the same logic as above for progress Be careful, learn and practice good technique before worrying about the weight you're lifting (Start with just the bar and focus on technique is fine - don't let ego get you into trouble you'll be lifting heavy quickly enough) and always have a spotter for your working sets.Good Luck :-)
Q:Stopping the freedom of the press? Your views!!?
Your website is a good example of America covering up the truth. Feel there is a lot of world leaders that have fell by the wayside and replaced with worse ones thank's to the CIA.
Q:Will US Customs Press Charges?
You are a slippery dud: What they call steroids? They were steroids. At least have the backbone to admit you were smuggling steroids across the border. They may or may not press charges. If they incarcerated every bonehead they caught with 2 bottles of nut shrinker they would have to build two new jails a week. You will be fined and probably harassed but they may take pity on the penal system and let you slide without jail time. Next time you decide to have one of your knucklehead adventures, don't try to slip one by the US Customs Service. They are smarter than you and probably stronger with all your steroid use. I take some very powerful drugs that are needed to treat a condition. When i travel, I always carry a letter from my doctor stating not only that i have these things legally but the exact nature of the condition I am taking them for. By doing things legally, I cross borders all the time and often, the same people see me the second time. They STILL ask for proof. Customs has a job to do and they do it well ... most of the time.
Q:Cookie press not cutting!?
LOL. Using a cookie press is a two-handed operation. I grew up on, and still use, a manual cookie press. You probably need that third trigger shot. The dough needs to make contact with the cookie sheet. You sort of feel it with the hand opposite of your cookie press hand. Temperature also plays in the equation. If the dough is too cold, it will not stick on the cookie sheet. Good luckl.
Q:what does the Constitution say about freedom of press?
Congress shall make no law....abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press... UPDATE: Sorry, no. The Press is the organization, not the individual reporters. If the school newspaper is staffed by student reporters, but it is the teachers that have ultimate authority over the content, than there is no problem with Teachers limiting what the paper publishes. Just like a regular newspaper. The reporters don't get to decide what gets printed. They cover and write the story, and it is the editors who decide what runs and what doesn't, and if someone higher up in the paper tells the editor that they won't be running a certain story, it doesn't get run. Furthermore, since the student newspaper is in fact a government run operation, it's not really the press.
Q:leverage bench press vs regular bench press?
There is no difference in the weight. 300 Ibs is 300 Ibs. The difference lies in the range of motion. The leverage bench is a machine. The bench press uses a barbell, which is a free weight. The answer lies in your statement calculating the fact that you start at the bottom position on a leverage bench and there is no need for balancing the weight like on a regular bench. The balancing is the important part. On a regular bench press, you are using your secondary supporting muscles to help lift the weight, which in turn strengthens those muscles, and makes you stronger all around. Form is the so important, and on a regular bench press, you really have to work to keep your form. On a machine, there isn't any work, the machine does the form for you. The big problem with regular bench presses also lies with the benefits. If one isn't strong enough, they can really hurt themselves. Some people over use or focus more on the secondary muscles to lift the weight, and that can cause injuries. But, to be fair, someone can do the same thing on a leverage bench, it is just much harder to do. I dunno, but I've always found the machines to be much easier. The machines do isolate the muscle very well, and even some secondary muscles get worked (like the triceps) but no where near the extant of the regular bench press. Isolation is good and important, but strength is always the most important (That's why we work out!). I really can't explain why the leverage bench seems easier, but it just does. Probably more support from the bench/machine/bar, less balancing etc when using the machine. Both are good, but I prefer the regular bench press (flat, incline, and decline) IMHO. I really only use machines sometimes after the bench to get a good isolation of the muscle, but that is rare. Good luck. Oh, and do push ups! Lots and lots of push ups! Best exercise ever!
Q:How many press up should I do?
Pushups or press ups are a calisthenic exercise and mosts people can rapidly improve to the point that they can churn out lots of repetitions. In which case there is no longer enough resistance going on to allow you to get a bigger chest. If you want to increase muscular size, you need to do progressive resistance exercise...Weight lifting where you can constantly increase the weight as you grow stronger. Updog is right in that you may become more defined, but that's about it....
Q:What's an alternative for bench press?
at the start, looking new acquaintances in the well-being middle is mostly a sturdy theory. with regards to possibilities, if there's a cage on your well-being middle, you would be able to make bench press in the cage. Dumbbell chest press is likewise an option (nevertheless a spotter is likewise pronounced). you would be able to make dips with added weight.
Q:Cookie press recipes?
The sour cream keeps them soft. Enjoy. Sour Cream Spritz 1 cup butter 3/4 cup sugar 1 large egg yolk 1/3 cup sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Preheat oven to 375 F. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk, sour cream and vanilla. Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Gradually stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Fill cookie press with dough, then form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Note: Can also be made using a pastry bag using a large pastry tip. Here is another with cream cheese. You can add more sour cream or cream cheese and in place of some of the butter to make them even softer. CREAM CHEESE COOKIE - SPRITZ 1 c. butter 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 c. sugar 1 egg yolk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. sifted flour Food Coloring, optional Mix all ingredients; cool. Put in your spritz gun and have fun. Bake 8-9 minutes at 350 degrees.
