Q: I get this error when switching on my camera. It was working fine during the day and taking pictures normally but in the evening I got this error message and the camera can‘t focus. The lens barrel does come out of the body as usual. The camera had been kept in a bag all day and hasn‘t caused any problems before. I‘ve tried the usual switching off and on, shaking it a bit and blowing in the gaps to dislodge any dust or grit. Anybody else had this problem and got a solution that is short of sending the camera away for repairs? Apparently the manufacturers rarely accept that this is a problem caused by anything other than grit or misuse.: So you're saying it turns on just fine, but it won't focus? You also said in the evening. Do you realize a camera needs a certain amount of light so it can auto focus? Turn on more light, or use a flash light. Point the camera at something with good contrast and a defined line - that helps it get a grip on the focus, so to speak. If it is possible with your camera, change to manual focus, then you won't need to worry about any of this.

Q: Bought a pontiac torrent about 5 days ago from a dealership. Yesterday, it completely went dead. The car wouldn't start, and the key got stuck. It was not turning over at first, but the lights were still coming on and flashing, then an hour later went to start it, again, and nothing. Not even the lights were coming on. The day before it was saying 'service stabilitrak' 'service traction control' and 'service battery charger' or something along the lines.My Dad took the battery to go get it checked and it read a bad battery, so I paid to get a new one. The vehicle will start, now, but halfway to my dad's house after driving it (12 miles), the 'battery charging system' light came on, again! This is so frustrating, the dealership is no help, I use this vehicle for my son/work, etc. I don't want to take it to a shop because they all charge high dollar around here, and they never do a good job. People always have problems with them. What could possibly be the problem?: Since the battery has been changed, touch the battery terminals with a volt meter set @ 20 volts. If the alternator is charging properly with the engine running the volt meter should read between 13.5 - 14.2 volts

Q: So, My check engine light came on about 2-3 weeks ago. The code read p10702 bank 1 (system too rich). I had the o2 sensor replaced and it was fine for a while. But the same code came back on! what could it be now? Just need opinions. And also I‘m waiting on my check so would it be bad to run the car for 2-3 weeks until I can fix. Any help will.HELP. Q: I was driving to work this morning, and my engine light came on. I have a 2001 Cavalier 2.2L 4 Speed Automatic with a little over 80,000 miles on it. The car was running fine, but then the light came on, and I freaked. I opened my manual, which said one of the problems could be due to my fuel cap not placed on properly. When I got back home, I checked, and sure enough, it was loose. However, when I went out later on, the light was still on and has not gone away. How long will it stay on? Should I go to the mechanic just to be safe even though my car is running fine?: the car's computer checks for evap system leaks every ignition cycle. once it finds a problem and sets a code (check engine light on), you must fix the problem. once the problem is fixed, the computer will reset on it's own after a certain number of ignition cycles so long as it doesn't still detect a leak. if it doesn't shut off, after a day or two, take it to your local auto parts store and have the computer scanned. if the light was a result of a loose cap, the code should be something like; large evap system leak detected, or small evap system leak detected. if it's something related to the evap system, have them clear the codes and watch for the check engine light for the next few days. if it's not evap system related, then i recommend taking it to a trusted auto service center. (auto parts stores like o'reilly auto parts, advance auto parts, etc. will scan it for free by the way) good luck!

Q: I have a 2000 Ford Taurus SE Station Wagon. This is the families only car, and we have a infant in the house. We don‘t have money to go to a dealer or a shop to fix it. If you do go to the dealer they tell you like $600.00. The problem is that when my dad tries to start the car, the THEFT light keeps on flashing and won‘t let the car start. My dad has to turn the key back and forth and then after a couple of minutes(20-30 min) the theft light turns off and then the car starts. If you can tell us what the reason is and how maybe we can just disconnect the alarm because we don‘t need it. Please help us someone as we don‘t have any money. Thank you in advanced.: On a chevy you can pull the fuss, it is the number 40 fuss on a 2000 Malabu that is under the hood. Only trying to help. Or maybe unhook the battery it may reset it.
