Q: I've read step by step tutorials I found on google, but I'm stuck at only the first few steps! After turning the water off I was going to disconnect the supply lines as well as the nut that holds the current faucet onto the sink, but it seems as if it's in the counter. I don't know if that's clear enough, but the lines run into the counter it looks like, I was wondering if there was anyway I can reach this without going to extraordinary lengths like taking the countger top off
I think that U are describing that U cannot reach or even see the nut. there is a special wrench made called a plumbers wrench. It is a steel post about ten inches long. The top of the post has a set of horizontal jaws like those on a pipe wrench. The bottom of the post has a long rod that provides leverage so that U can turn the wrench from below. To turn the wrench in the other direction the jaws can be flipped over. Now U know why plumbers earn the big bucks ~~~~~~~ I try to not turn the water valves off in the bathroom. The valve often starts to leak and can be very difficult to change. Turning off the water from outside of the house leads to many other compllications though.
Q: How to remove the basin faucet filter
Direct hand down screw, counterclockwise direction, if the slip, the pad on something, of course, the best rubber skin effect. Find a mouse pad to try.
Q: how can i change the kitchen faucet and sprayer?
you can get a kitchen faucet with sprayer in various applications, rundown is : shut off water supply valves under sink, disconnect water supply lines from the shutoff valves to the faucet. there will be nuts holding the faucet and sprayer (if its off to the side) remove these with a basin wrench. (purchased at lowes, home depot) simply pull faucet upwards and out. reattach new faucet with plumbers putty on the base of the faucet and reset in sink. attach new nuts that hold faucet body down and tighten till putty compresses fully flat. remove excess, reattach new water supply lines to avoid leaky old used ones. reopen your shut off valves and check for leaks, tighten any loose fittings in case of a water leak - all in all, your new faucet will have a manual to assist as well -best luck
Q: It's very important that I do this the right way. (I sort of told the people I was working with that I knew how....but I don't) I bought a new faucet from Lowe's, and it has instructions on the back but I think I'm missing something. They also said something about the plumbing being bad and hard to work with? I've never done any kind of plumbing in my life.
You'll need to purchase a tap that matches the middle to middle size of your sink.I endorse Price Pfister, will rate just a little extra, however will final ceaselessly. Turn off the close off valves on scorching and bloodless. There's this distinctive wrench. Looks like a circular steel rod with a tee manage at one finish, and variety of a part moon with enamel at the different finish. Cost approximately $10. The toothed finish may also be swiveled for loosening(counterclockwise) or tightening. Use the device to loosen either side. And cast off the historic tap. If imperative, change the bendy hose or pipe that connects the tap to the copper pipe. Don't skimp in this, a couple of greenbacks extra will make the task alot less difficult. Fittings will need to fit on each ends of the bendy hose. Apply plumbers putty to the threads as you construct. Don't over tighten. When it is in combination, open the close off valves and verify for leaks.
Q: Automatic washing machine inlet pipe can be connected to the basin faucet?
What kind of tee? Can you find a link on the Internet to show me? Or tell me how to search
Q: Basin basin faucet water hose position is too deep, how to screw down?
If you change the tube, then the tube can be cut with the pliers to take it off, with a pliers to clamp the tube will be able to dry down.
Q: How the basin basin faucet and the water is said to be more detailed yo
The basin basin faucet prepares a wrench and water tape (white, thin).
Q: hey guys, im replacing a kitchen faucet for my mom right now, and Its not one of the ones where it scres in on the two side panels, it has a long threaded neck that attatches to the sink basin, how would I take this out, I tried spinning the faucet to just unscrew the threading but it pivots...
Faucets that I'm familiar with sit on top of the sink and are bolted down below the sink. You have to loosen nuts under the sink from the threaded water supply lines on the bottom of the faucet unit, then lift the entire unit out from the sink. That leaves holes in the sink. Threaded water supply lines on the bottom of the faucet fit through those holes and water lines from your house's water supply are attached to those. But the handles, neck, the whole shooting match is one unit.
Q: Wash basin faucet is too low, can not shampoo how to do
The faucet is too low, only a little higher taps, no other way.
Q: It stopped working out of no where so the only way i can use my kitchen sink is to use the hand held spreyer.. I have never replaced one before and wasnt sure if i need to turn off water to the whole house or not...
you can just turn the valves off but i suggest since you are doing this, go ahead and replace the valves and drain lines too. if you replace the valves, yes, turn the water off at the street. when i replace faucets, and if the money is there, i always suggest replacing everything. (i hate old leaky valves) use those 1/4 turn on/off valves too!
