Q:need a ceiling ladder storage rack that can hold a 28 ft. fibreglass ladder?
Are you asking me if I need a ladder rack? Or are you wondering what to use to hold a fiberglass ladder to the ceiling? Option 2) you could use 2 giant hooks that screw into the ceiling, and that should be sufficient. However: since those ladders are a bit heavy, why not do yourself a favor and store it horizontally on a couple hooks near the bottom of the wall instead? It's a lot more convenient that way, and safer for everyone concerned.
Q:Details: The house is a 3 story house. When showering on the 2nd or 3rd floor, the living room ceiling leaked. Not just 1-2 drops but we had to get a bucket and you can see the staining on the ceiling. This was 4-5 years ago and we stopped using these showers. No further leaking when NOT using the showers. The contractor opened the ceiling today near the staining and turned on the showers. He said that there was no leaking. What happened? Any suggestions? Thanks.
HyperDog is right. If it doesn't leak when shower is on with nobody in it, means it's not leaking from shower drain. It could be cracked tile, broken grout, or broken caulking. Or may be when somebody is in the shower, the floor goes down a bit, making a crack between the shower bottom and the tiles. When you find the reason will be easy to fix. Good luck.
Q:What is the ceiling of the cinema?
The use of clear frame keel, keel width 15mm or 24mm. Use black paint keel, need to be customized. To place sound on other ceilings, please note the carrying capacity of the original ceiling
Q:We just had our first child, and his room is right above the garage. It is noticebly colder in his room, especially the floor. I used the plastic window kits and that helped, however, the floor is still extremely cold and I would like to at least check the insulation in the garage ceiling. Right now there is drywall on the ceiling, but I have no qualms about ripping it down, not real worried what it looks like. What should I look for...I believe there is very old (50 years) fiberglass insulation but i'm not 100% sure. If there is the old insulation there...should I look to replace it? If so, with what R value...Is this a project that someone without specific experience in the field could complete? I'm pretty handy but certainly not a pro. I'm not worried at all how it looks in the garage.
thats a good question i would definetly insulate the garage but see if theres a special garage insulation maybe something that has a vapor barrier against car fumes or sometime of extra fire resistant stuff i know they have a noise reducing insulation
Q:I have a large attic with sloped ceiling which are covered with rolls of fiberglass insulation. I use my attic for storage and am up there frequently, and for long periods of time. I would like ideas on what material could be used to cover the exposed insulation, so that I'm not breathing in the fiberglass.Cost and easy installation is a factor. I do not want to put up drywall or any type of regular ceiling, because if there's ever a leak, I want to be able to access it easily. Some sort of lightweight material that comes in a roll that I would be able to install with a staple gun would be great - but not plastic, because I don't want to worry about condensation and mold building up in the hot summertime. All ideas are welcome, and if you know the price of the material you're suggesting, please include it in your answer. Thanks everybody!
Are there other terms for sound board I could not find a reference for it.
Q:New home decoration is the choice of all-inclusive or half-pack good?
Choose a half pack, the material to buy their own, all inclusive to the decoration company will cut corners, especially hidden projects will not use good materials
Q:I am redoing my basement and am wondeirng what is the best way to insulate the basement ceiling, mainly to cut down on noise. My house is fairly old and the hardwood floors we have upstairs creak very loudly when you walk on them, and can be heard through the basement. Would fiberglass insulation work to cut down on footstep noise? If i put two layers in the ceiling would that be better? Or if I carpet upstairs would that muffle the sound?
i might propose the two the a million.5 - 3 foam for the partitions and floor. Do the main you could break out with. You screw the plywood to the floor with concrete screws/washers with the froth below. All joints of the froth are taped. then you definitely can bypass over this with carpet. or you could decide for the dearer dricore plywood yet without the insulation. The partitions will basically have foam decrease to bypass at the back of the studs or between them. The ceiling of the basement will use non-confronted insulation yet insulation won't be needed on the ceiling.
Q:What is the use of Mgcl?
Relative molecular mass 95.21. Was colorless hexagonal crystal. Density 2.316-2.33 g / cm 3. Melting point 714 ℃. Boiling point 1412 ℃.
Q:Recently the company office to decorate the ceiling, how to choose the material?
The fireproof effect of the board is very good
Q:There are a lot of wires and tubing between the joists and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to work the insulation around them or just lay the stuff over it. Seems like if there was a problem with the water or electricity, finding the wires and such would become a problem with them tucked under the insulation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
one thing you didnt mention is why you want to insulate a basement ceiling. i can understand if its for sound abaitment but insulating a basement ceiling isnt really necessary (unless ofcourse its required by local code). in answer to your question, you tuck the insulation around wires and piple by pulling the insulation apart. compressing the insulation against wires and pipes compromises its effectiveness. heres what i would do. instead of fiber glass insulation use what is called sound board (it has thermal qualitys as well) and then sheet rock over that. sound board (it used to be call celetex back in the day) is available at home depot and most lumber yards.
