- Q: will my PSone power cable work on my ps2?
- I don't own a PS2 so... I don't know. But probably not. Why not just try it out? Or ask a friend to try it out? :|
- Q: I mean like the power connector cables. All power supplys have the same cables to supply power from the PSU to components right?
- not all PSUs have the same cables but they do all come with the same standard connectors. for example all PSUs regardless of wattage and brand will have the 4 pin molex conectors but not all will have the 6 pin and the 8 pin PCIe connectors and the higher end models will also come with 2 CPU 4 pin power connectors. which PSU you get depends on wattage demand of your system, amperage demand if you have a video card requireing extra power and the number of molex/sata power cables and PCIe 6/8 pin connectors you need.
- Q: If Not What Do I Have To Look Out For Because Im Looking For A New Power Supply Fan.
- The power supply fan is normally built into the power supply. If you are trying to replace the fan in the unit, you will have to deal with taking it apart and probably doing some soldering. Be careful to at least match the specifications of the original fan.
- Q: My friend gave me a PS2 as a gift of Friendship but it was missing a cable. And that cable was the power cable. He told me I can use a power cable that some radios use, and it will be the same. Although I have doubts. I think I have like 2 radios out back so I'm wondering if they actually DO work. I'm going to attempt this tomorrow so I need a answer ASAP and please don't make it a simple answer, include some detail if possible. Like what exactly is the Power Cable I need so I can take a look at the Radio's power cable to see if its the right one. I'm unfamiliar with the Power Cable actually because I haven't seen a PS2 in almost 4 years since I got my PS3.
- Using a power cable with the same head will definitely work with the PS2 but keep in mind that the quality of the original cable versus the makeshift one may have an effect to the PS2. For example, there is a small possibility that you might cause the power to short circuit (not sure if this is the term I should be using but...) I'd imagine something like sparks or smoke emitting from the power socket or the PS2.
- Q: Hi All, i have a star sound 1200w 4way amp which i want to use just for my sub for the meanwhile as im waiting on a monoblock, please tell me if i can install the amp without the fuse that connects straight on the power cable?? and what is the main reasons for that fuse? thanks in advance
- You could connect it without the fuse but if something shorts out your going to fry the wiring. That's fuse is there for a reason, I wouldn't recommend not using it.

- Q: The Power cable of my guitar amp (roland cube 20x) was under my computer chair leg and when i sat down the fuse triped in the power box then when i checked under me the cable was almost cut across.. How can i fix this or where would i get it fixed?
- Hahaha, that is THE most basic DIY ever. Ok go to you local hardware store and get maybe 4 foot of similar wiring, look around for what you want, get home, open up the back of your roland, find where the chord was wired, should be either soldered or clamped, undo these and attach the new wiring, if your cheap you could just take the plug head of the original cable and attach it to where the cable broke, and you'll just have a shortened power cable.
- Q: I have an old school Soundstream 500s amplifier(500 Watts) and I want to put it in my 1965 Mustang Coupe. I want to have a small but clean sounding system for the old car, probably with two small subwoofers too. I need to get all new cables for this sound system, so what would be a good power cable for the amp? I need roughly about 25-30 ft. of cable just to be safe and a fuse as well.

- In that vehicle the battery is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. There should be a large, rectangular rubber grommet located at the front of the passenger side footwell, with a large wire bundle running through it. I usually route the power wire through that grommet, or drill a hole right next to it. It's important to carefully route and secure the wire in the engine compartment so it can't touch hot or moving engine parts. You'll also want to make sure you seal up the hole around the power wire because it's easy for water to get in at that location.

- The wattage of the amplifier makes no difference. A new amp will have a specification for the input sensitivity. This is how many volts from the source will drive it. The line level output from your head and line level inputs on the amp should work. Line level outputs will probably not drive speaker level inputs on an amp very well.
