Q:who first made the wheel chair???????????????????????????????
It is uncertain as to what can be considered the first wheelchair, or who invented it. The first known dedicated wheelchair (invented in 1595 and called an invalids chair) was made for Phillip II of Spain by an unknown inventor. In 1655, Stephen Farfler, a paraplegic watchmaker, built a self-propelling chair on a three wheel chassis.
Q:I was watching the famous execution film, where they filmed an actual electric chair execution. While eating my popcorn, I thought of how much more just the chair is than injection. Why can it not be brought back?
They should bring it back, along with crucifixion and book burnings... Also, what's with the laws saying the women can go to work these days? I think we should return to the good times when women without husbands were left to starve.
Q:Radius 3m, length of chain and chair 2.5m.Mass of rider and chair 100kg. (8 chairs riders)a)Determine rotational speed when chair is at 30 degrees to the verticalb)How many g's does a rider feel?I have the final answers, but don't know how to get to them.Using trig I get a total radius of 4.25m then I get stuck! Please help! Thanks
I assume the top of the chain is anchored to a point which is at radius 3m Let the force in the chain when in the 30? position be F then vertically downward force on rider chair = Fv = 981 N = F s30? so that F = 981/0.866 = 1133 N The horizontal component of force on the rider = Fh = F.sin30? = 566.4 N Radius or rider at the 30? position = 3 + 2.5sin30? = 4.25 m Fh is the force produced by rotation and = m.ω?.r giving ω = √[F/(m.r)] = 1.1544 where ω is the rotational angular frequency. So rotational frequency = ω/(2.π) = 0.18373 revs/sec = 11.024 r.p.m.. The rider experiences total force F = 1133N. If he were standing still he would experience 981 N, so g force is 1133/981 = 1.155g. This is the total force on the rider, including his own weight. The extra force he experiences due to rotation is 566.4/981 = 0.577 g – the answer you are given.
Q:What is the best high chair in your opinion? I especially wonder about the cover. Vinyl or fabric or just wooden chair. Also, when your baby started using the chair: before being able to seat on his own or after?
There okorder / And I would also recommend a vinyl cover to be able to easily wipe it down, although we had cloth and I could throw it in the washer, but it was a pain to get it off and on the chair. Good luck!
Q:I'm very recently very interested in the old abandoned ski areas. I was wondering if anyone knew of an old area where lifts are still up? or even if the chairs are set on the ground that would be ideal. I'm looking for old chairs to just really get a good sense of the old technology that was used on these old mountain/areas. I've had some great success with finding rope tows and Poma lifts, however chairlifts are hard to find really with chairs still attached! Any information would be great. Just a hint. I am NOT looking to take these. I have found old Poma Bars, T-Bars, and old rope tow handles and always abide by the rules of the area. I have taken ONE T-bar, and asked the mountains owner for permission to take it. I don't know how I could fit a chair in my little Ford Taurus either! Thanks in advance for anyone who will be giving information on an OLD mountain with some chairs attached or lying around!
Freeze. Actually, I wouldn't be there in the first place because I do not ski and I hate, hate, hate cold and snow!
Q:I have a rocking chair that i'd like to convert to a gliding rocking chair.
It would almost be easier to build a new chair but here goes. OK if it is a basic rocking chair you just need to get the swinging hardware and build a base. the problem is that; does the original chair have strong enough legs that when you drill them etc to install the hard ware will it remain strong enough to continue to support weight and keep its structural integrity. This is hard to explain in words. If you look at gliders they have the chair with sides/legs that come down to connect to a hanger (Usually metal) that goes back up to a base, and each end of the connection has bearings to let it turn easier. your just have to build a base that will be big enough and attach the hangers (which would be best to just buy) to the chair legs. I cant give more that directional support over typing but if you would like contact me with specifications for the chair and exactly what you want to do with it, and what tools are at your disposal.
Q:The ink is from a belt. The color from the belt left the belt pattern on the leather chair.
I was looking for this answer just today, and 10 mins ago, I just tried Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser sponges to clean black ink from a ballpoint pen off of a light yellow leather chair, and it worked perfectly! After that, I just used my leather conditioner so it won't suffer, but these sponges are the best! I've used them before to clean stuff from my walls, it's great! Good luck!
Q:Who invented the electric chair?
The Chair Wizard's father.
Q:I work from home and wanted to know what is the best office chair or back support for my home office that will not cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks.
Discover okorder / So if you are someone who thinks you will always have back pain and that’s just they way it is…eventually, you are going to have to change your mind about that. And the sooner…the better.
Q:I think it's called Peter's Chair, but why is he considered infallible when he speaks sitting on that chair?
The catholic believe is that he's guided by the Holy Spirit which make him infallible at that time and on that subject. Catholics don't believe he is infallible in some across the board kind of way as many anti catholics would have you think
