- Try cleaning the chair again I would use carpet cleaner. Put a fan on the chair to see if it dries. I think maybe the water stain has not dried completely. If that does not work have it clean professionally they may have something they can get the stain out of the fabric.

- This chair design looks pretty simple. You can remove the old material and use that as a pattern for your new material. Take your time and have the tools handy; tack hammer, stapler, etc. Also,, most communities have adult hobby classes at their community colleges and just may have one in upholstering where you can bring your chair in and work on it with supervision.

- I have found the best is one of my old kitchen chairs. The height is right and you don't have to keep messing with it to get it just right. I use a chair cushion to make the wooden seat comfortable and have a small cushion for the back when I need it. You can just drop the cushions in the washer and dryer when needed and it will fluff the pillow up again.

- Plasterboard itself is definitely not strong enough to support a hammock chair. However, the plasterboard is likely attached to rafters or joists depending where your room is located. Most would be strong enough to support an additional 100 lbs or so -- especially if you make the attachment fairly close to a wall. You must, however, install the screw hook directly into the center of a joist or rafter truss. To find the location of the joist, you'll need to borrow or buy a good stud finder and learn how to use it. Stud finders can be bought from any good tool department (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace) for around $$30.00. It is a very useful tool to own if you ever hang pictures, towel bars, grab bars, etc.
