There is a difference between the 2 and the first answer explains it very well. All I will add is that pink quartz is the rarer of the two and many sellers offer rose quartz as pink quartz. Sellers abroad do this frequently, particularly the Chinese so make sure you trust the seller when buying pink quartz, I was recently duped myself!
