We are using this for a slip and slide at a camp and need some plastic that is sturdy and will withstand many kids going down it. 6 mil is the minimum, but 8 to 10 mil is prefered and it needs to be about 40 ft x 100 ft. We'd prefer no black, as it will be super hot in the sun. I have already called a few local farm stores, Lowes, and Home Depot. Are there any places that I may have forgotten?
Well I dont know where you live, but where I work, we get it from piedmont plastics. Go see some industrial distributors like Kinecor or Motion Canada. (go for Kinecor, thats where i work.)
i got a clothe, i don't think it's really plastic, it's kind of thick, a bit see through and looks a little bit like plastic, and sheet protectors , are they recyclable? thanks!
Most plastics are recyclable. However, not all cities recycle anything, and in my city, only certain categories of plastic can go in my recycling bin. Look for a little triangular logo on the item, with arrows leading to each other, with a number or symbol in the middle. See my source. In my city, we are not supposed to put any plastic with that 7 in our bins, because the city waste disposal doesn't have the means to recycle it.
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to bending or warping, especially when compared to other materials like wood or metal. Their flexibility and durability allow them to maintain their shape and structural integrity under normal conditions. However, excessive force or heat can cause plastic sheets to deform or warp.
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for point-of-purchase displays. Plastic sheets offer flexibility, durability, and transparency, making them ideal for creating eye-catching and long-lasting displays at the point of purchase.
Hello,I will be laying laminate wood flooring over concrete. Can I alternatively use 6 mil or greater plastic sheeting as moisture barrier found in the construction materials aisle instead of flooring? I found one from Lowe's: Item# 64430 Model# C101006BK, Sunbelt 10' x 100' Black 6Mil Plastic Sheeting for $57.30. It is cheaper and thicker than those found next to the wood flooring materials. The box says it is good for vapor barrier. Even the 4 mil type feels thicker than those found at flooring section. Most flooring site mentioned that the minimum is 6 mil. Does that mean any 6 mil plastic sheeting will be acceptable? Thanks.
Yes you need the moisture barrier and it also helps with the hollow sound of the laminate. when you go to put down the barrier make sure to keep it a little long at the walls, make sure seams are tight and taped together with duct tape it will help keep out the moisture. after the floor is installed go back and trim the edges of the barrier but keep enough to sort of tuck under the edge of the wall, if you have moisture coming in you want it to go under the barrier not on top it will cause the floor to mold, expand, warp etc.
Politely.
Just buy a plastic sheet cover for the bed.
Yes, plastic sheets can be suitable for electrical enclosures as they offer good insulation properties, are lightweight, resistant to corrosion, and can be easily molded or fabricated to meet specific requirements. However, the suitability may also depend on the specific application, environmental conditions, and safety regulations that need to be considered.
Yes, plastic sheets are generally durable. They are designed to be strong and resistant to impact, moisture, and UV radiation. However, the durability may vary depending on the specific type and thickness of the plastic sheet.
