Q:The winter is dry, the weather is dry! Ready to use humidifier, I would like to ask the wood floor hurt? Note: home floor is just installed, peace of mind wood floor. The This brand will not be Alice ah! More
The humidifier has no damage to the wood floor. Water is solid wood composite floor of the natural enemies, accidentally added more water, it was completely collapsed. So to the solid wood composite floor humidification should pay attention to the water can not be scattered directly on the parquet, as will form a solid wood flooring bubble deformation. And with a humidifier, a slight tide of the mop to the appropriate indoor humidification to drop the solid wood flooring moisture content of the wastage rate, you can avoid the solid wood flooring because the solid wood flooring boring and deformation. The top of the humidifier to the solid wood composite floor humidification is the most scientific, do not worry about solid wood flooring soaked in water, and the humidifier can not only give solid wood composite floor humidification, the human body can also make up the effect of water.
Q:need to replace the floor
As a footnote: All total, you are probably looking at a $600 to $800.00 do it yourself repair job here. And that's is assuming nothing else needs replacing. (as general, when the floor is gone - the stringers have too - and then you are really into some major work and repair. So, careful thought should be given as to whether your 88 Bayliner is worth the expense and risk of this DIY repair. I mention that, only because, while I have no idea the condition of the rest of your boat or its motor - my 40 plus years of boatbuilding experience tells me - your boat is most likely not worth this repair. Especially since you have never done it before, and have no clue as to what else might be wrong with the floor, sub-floor, hull, or stringers. . .
Q:I have a tiled concrete floor in my kitchen and it is soooo cold. I am going to re-do the kitchen soon and want to put down the warmest floor I can. I cant afford underfloor heating. So, what to do? Rip up the tiles/lay laminate with insulation/vinyl flooring/another option? The current tiles are well laid and flat but are small with grout in grooves inbetween and they end just under the cabinets. Laminate with insulation looks as if it would come up quite thick if I just put it on top of the tiles. Vinyl flooring may slip on the tiles and could be just as cold. I have a rug down at the moment and it got dirty in no time so not a fan of carpet in the kitchen. Any solutions/thoughts please (especially if you are flooring contractor!)
The tried-and-true method is a small space heater under your desk. However, this tends to conflict with fire and building codes, but it seems to be a common practice, especially among women for some reason. If you're already wearing insulated boots, I don't think the concrete is the real problem. I'd check with your doctor and make sure it isn't something medical. The feet and legs seem to be the first to go if there's a circulatory problem.
Q:i have a floor that is in an older house that would like to tile. Unfortunately, it has a swell in the center of about two inches from when the house settled. Does anyone know of a commercial levelling product i can just trowel on to level the floor so the tile will lay flat? The ease of use is a big factor, i like things simple. Thanks.
as pumken said there are floor levelling cements, you mix them to the consistency of, like jello pudding and you just pour it on the floor. it's considered to be self levelling, but may need a little help the problem is it's expensive (27$ a bag) and to raise part of a floor 2 is going to cost, and cost large, it might be easier and cheaper to remove and repair the hump area only break-up and remove the offending area, do a patch job on it and finish it the levelling cement, so it will match the existing or remaining area at least regular cement/concrete mix is only 6 $ a bag
Q:The kitchen floor is all tiles or whatever a kitchen floor is supposed to be.
To remove humand or animal urine off the floor do as follows: 1) Have a medium sized plastic bag open. U may want to use some plactic gloves. 2) Take anykind of newspaper or kitchen mop up disposable hand towels and eaily lay them down on all wet areas. Go sit down and wait for 5 minutes. Return to ascrape them off with a spatula or another piece of newpaper that u have rolled up a bit to make it hard. As u scrape u push them all together and in the end you form sort of a limpy ball that u put into the plastice bag that rprepared before u started. 3) To1 cup of water mix in 1 tablespoon of laundry bleach and lspill over the areas involved. With another piece or paer or toweling spread well and wait for2-3 minutes. apply absorbing paper again, wait, scrape and dispose of in the bag. 4)Another cup of water this time with some diah detergent. With clean paper towelingapread and rub around. Then another piece of toweling to wipe dry. That's it.
Q:Ok, I'm trying to persuade my mom to pull up our (gross) carpet and stain the concrete floors. We have lots of indoor pets, and carpet just isn't working. So i'm wondering how much does it cost to get the concrete stained. Our if possible can we do it ourselves. If anyone has had this done to their floors, does it look bad? Thanks
So, you're looking for some hard work, huh? Tear up all of the tile and remove all of the adhesive. Now if this is ceramic tile, you'll really have fun removing all of that thinset mortar. If it's vinyl, it'll still be plenty of hard work with floor scrapers/grinders. All the old adhesive has to come up -- all of it! Then you'll have to start with the staining and polishing process, which costs $3 per foot on a new construction job in Texas. Smaller jobs cost a whole lot more. Good luck!
Q:We recently replaced our carpet with Laminate Flooring. Now, I am looking for an appropriate Vacuum Cleaner? If you know of a good vacuum cleaner which works good on Laminate flooring and does not damage the floor, please let me know. Thanks for your time.
No upright vac using a rotating brush should be used on laminate flooring. You should check out a small, vacuum only, tank model that will come with a hose and floor brush with bristles to pick up the dirt. Try to find one with horsehair bristles on the floor brush, they last longer and won't ever scratch anything. Eureka makes several models as well as Hoover, in the avg. priced market. Filter Queen and Electrolux make better quality models in the higher price range.
Q:I have an acid washed concrete floor in my business. I am having a problem with the floor being hazy/dirty after washing. The floor is waxed. When i clean the floor I use 2 buckets of water ... One with neutral floor cleaner and one clean water rinse bucket. After the floor dries it has a haze over it ... if i rub my fingers on the floor the haze goes away but my fingertips become black from the residue ... what can i do to get my floor back to clean ... i get so many compliments on the dirty floor and i cant imagine what they will say once it is really clean ... Any Help Would Be Appreciated ....Thank You
Sound like the cleaner you're using is leaving the residue. Try moping with water and vinegar and then a rinse.
Q:The new house has just finished the renovation did not stay, take care of each other on the rough Nao stubs of the Association of Mao air to the water pipe off the water leakage, soak for two days only to find the water from the inside to insert the inside of the tube into the tube, the ground to plug out When there is water out, this situation on the future there is no security risks, whether the water inside the pipe to dry, how to do specific methods to solve more
If it is wood flooring, then you tragedy, if it is tiles, then, do not have to worry about. First of all, the tile is a waterproof effect, after all, is the porcelain of Kazakhstan, there are only a little gap between the tiles and tiles, this is the cement, the time to sing may be the water, but never water, a little bit of water, even if Infiltrated into the wire tube there, there are wire tube is plastic, can be waterproof. So do not worry, do not bother. Second, the wooden floor or composite wood flooring, then the need to change the part of the whole tide, or expansion of the very powerful, tube buried in the cement, and do not have to worry about security issues, as long as the wood floor for the like The.
Q:It is estimated that the cost of constructing an office building that is n floors high isC(n)= 3n^2+500n+842thousand dollars. How many floors should the building have in order to minimize the average cost per floor? (Remember, your answer must be a whole number.) ______ floors
If the cost per floor is C(n) = 3n^2 + 500n + 842 then the average cost per floor would be this function divided by the number of floors n: A(n) = (3n^2 + 500n + 842)/n A(n) = 3n + 500 + 842/n This is the function we want to minimize, so take it's derivative: A'(n) = 3 + 0 + -842/n^2 To find possible max/min values, set the derivative equal to zero: 0 = 3 - 842/n^2 842/n^2 = 3 842 = 3n^2 n^2 = 842/3 n = sqrt(842/3) = 16.753 Since we can only have whole number answers, our answer must be either 16 or 17 A(16) = 600.625 A(17) = 600.5294 So our answer will be 17 floors
