Slip resistance:
Boards of Techwoodn according to ASTM D2394-05. This is the best ranking for bare-foot slip resistance.

- I always use the Clorox readymop mopping system to clean my hardwood floor. It give me a sparkling floor that is not sticky. The floor cleaner spray is safe on hardwood floor. I haven't use wet mop anymore after i found readymop. Just hit the trigger to spray some cleaner on dirty or hard to clean spot. Dry mop it and the floor is clean as new. It dries so fast that i can step on it right away
- Q:I have a 9x12 room in my basement, with a concrete floor. The rest of the basement has carpet on 1 1/2 inch sub floor. I would like to bring up the floor in the 9x12 room up 1 1/2 inches and tile. What is the best way to go about this? Vapor Barrier? Solid concrete floor clean and level. In basement. New England weather. Basement is always heated as most of it is finished. Plan on using 3/8" slate or granite tiles
- In the UK we would use a screed made up of sharp sand (gritty sand) and cement. As 1 1/2 inches is a little thin it would be best to add reinforcing fibers or a product called SBR to give added strength. Depending on how good you are at screeding you may need a self leveling compound over the top before tiling.

- Trust Rob S. Think about it- wood expands and contracts with the dry and humid seasons. There's no way you are going to get grout to stay in it and you are going to have tiles popping up everywhere- DON'T DO IT! Don't say I didn't tell you so!

- Q:I'm looking for a floor that I believe has been discontinued. It is by a company named Sykes Flooring in Arkansas. They were sold to a company called Masonite, then to Bradley Lumber. It is a parquet floor, the style is called slate, it is 1/2".
