- First off, we need some details. Is this a floor covering that is buckling? (As in laminate flooring) Or is this the sub-floor that is buckling? (Generally particle board, OSB, or plywood, found under vinyl flooring, carpet, or other floor covering). Dimensions? (How much of the floor is buckling?) There is the off chance, also, that you have a warped floor joist. How much it is going to cost will depend on which problem you've got, what kind of floor covering, and material & labor rates in your area. OSB sub-flooring in my neck of the woods is running about $13 for a sheet of 3/4 x 4'x8'. Plywood of the same thickness and size is running about $32 per sheet. This could turn into a major problem, if you let it go. Mold can set in, and then you'd have a really nasty problem. By the way, that leak from the air conditioner was probably from dirt in the drain line. It needs to be cleaned out, or replaced, before running the AC. - Q:I'm building a house on Sims 2. Once i completed the walls for level 1 of the house, i moved up to the second level to build there but for some reason the floor tile grid is not complete. I can't build the walls as the floor has gaps in it. Does anyone know why this is? and how can i prevent it?
- Normally if your on the 2nd floor of your house you have to put up the walls first but it's been awhile since I played that game so I might be wrong. When I say the walls though I mean for the outer part of the house. Did you try clicking on the options so that you can make the walls disappear so you can see what your doing better? Could be something is in the way possibly or it could be that your trying to build your house a certain way. If your doing it where your having like say a terrace on the 2nd floor than you need to put a crap load of pillars under at the beginning than put your floor on the 2nd level. After you did that you can delete all the extra pillars and everything should work where you don't have any gaps in your floor. Hope that helps.

- I thought a floating floor was a good way to do a basement and means the floor is slightly elevated off the slab. This way heating or cooling and electronic cabling , and wiring for outlets. (computers esp)can be run under the floor rather than through concrete walls. It is a platform system that can be covered with a number of materials. compartment doors allow access to cabling. If they are calling pergo type flooring floating flooring now...I do not see how having a basement with finished surfaces is a bad thing.
