- Q:dvd player has rca cables and speakers take speaker wiredo i need a receiver or something? if so what kind?
- You cannot hook the speakers to the RCA cables. RCA cables are considered a 'low level' signal, which needs to be amplified. Speakers use a 'high level' signal. You need a piece of equipment to amplify the low level signal to a high speaker level signal. If your TV has RCA jacks on the back and an external speaker selector, use the TV as your amplifier and hook your Kenwood speakers to the external speaker connections on the back of the TV.
- Q:Currently, I have a 2.1 speaker system for my computer. The speaker volume was significant, but I was not happy with the low volume of the subwoofer. So, I raised the volume of the speakers and the subwoofer also increased in volume, but now my normal speakers are too loud. So, I need to lower the volume of the speakers while keeping the subwoofer volume high. Right now, I put some plastic wrap over the speakers to reduce their noise but I was wondering if there is a better alternative. Also, If covering the speakers will harm them in anyway. Most importantly, if there is a way to keep the subwoofer volume high WITHOUT putting anything on the speakers cause they look kinda weird now. Btw, the subwoofer is at max volume and I've checked around the room and the front corner is the loudest location. Also, please don't tell me to buy anything.
- You can try to put in a volume reducer on the speaker connection so that you can adjust their volume separately from the subwoofer. Also, if the system is plugged into their respective ports (subwoofer to subwoofer, speakers to speakers) you should be able to mix the sound from your computer. Try opening the volume panel and see what options you have, my integrated sound lets me adjust volume L-R, from speaker to speaker, special sound settings, etc. so yours might too, check it out. Also best answer just sayin

- connect your external speakers to your laptop and internal speakers should auto off, or you are connecting to the wrong inlets.

- Make sure you didn't plug them into the headphone jack, that will mute the speakers.
- Q:I have an '09 Nissan Altima 2.5L and although I love the stock speakers, they are really blown to smitherines. P I had them replaced before by Nissan and they were awesome about it because they blew out before I had owned the car for a month so they replaced them for free. - It is always a good idea to put factory equipment in vehicles whenever possible when it is still under warranty. However, aftermarket speakers are fairly safe. I hate to admit it but you can get better speakers for half the price! The reason I say they are fairly safe is because they would only void warranty on any problems caused by the speakers. Seams pretty safe to me since it's hard to see any major issues cause by a set of speakers.

- You probably do not need a crossover if these speakers are in an enclosure and have a tweeter and a woofer. If they are the round speaker parts all alone not in an enclosure, you will need a crossover and other things to make them sound good.

- Your speakers and Head Unit will work together. I am taking it that you have already made sure that your vehicle takes 6.5 Speakers. If that is the case, and your vehicle's front and rear speakers are 6.5 then you just need to order two pairs. Hope this helped.
