Q:2 speakers on the door. on the front right door one of the two speakers is very low in volume meaning the music is coming out of the speaker but at a low volume compared with the rest. it even occurs at high volumes. it is an infinity kappa series speaker installed about 2 years ago and i highly doubt it is blown because it still works (maybe loose contact?)im planning to replace the amp i have which is 60Wx4 soundstream pcx360 into a 150Wx4 alpine pdx1.600 soon and was wondering if this might fix the problemim willing to buy another set of kappa series speakers but prefer not to because getting the door panel on/off my car is a pain in da ***.solutions anyone?

The speaker could be on it's way out, but usually you'll hear distortion. You could have an issue with the wires going to the speaker, but it's most likely a loose rca cable or a bad channel on the amp or head-unit. The most cost efficient move here is to remove the door panel and inspect the speaker and connectors. Good luck.

Q:i got rockford fosgate 5 1/4 speakers in my wrangler. they run off my head unit putting about 50 to ea. which is no where near what they will take but they like buzz when someone is talking on the radio. anything that could fix that or even know why its doing that?

Most likely that's not the speakers but the deck. Speakers only mimic the signal being fed. If the signal has noise, the speakers will produce it. HOWEVER, if the speakers or speaker grills are loose and vibrate, they will be the culprit.

Q:All four of my factory speakers are blown. I need to replace them, whats the difference between component speakers and just speakers ? which should I get? I'm leaning towards 2-way speakers.

Component speakers consist of a pair of mid range speakers, a pair of cross overs, and a pair of tweeters. Regular speakers are only mid range speakers for a one way style, a mid range with a tweeter attached to it for a two way, and a mid range with two tweeters attached to it for a three way style. They are both good but components usually cost more. Hope this helped

Build a normal speaker cabinet, connect to a power amp. Connect the line from the computer to a preamp, preamp to power amp. I don't recommend building speaker cabinets unless you are intimate with acoustics. If you know the difference between the sound property differences between an open back or a closed back cabinet, then go for it. If not, steer clear.

Q:Hi, currently I have some klipsch promedia 2.1 pc speakers on my computer. And these are what I use to fill my whole room with sound. I'm 16 so I just need to worry about my room. So on my desk are my computer speakers but behind my desk is a dresser. Im thinking about buying the Klipsch kb 15 bookshelf speakers for the top of the dresser. I already have a receiver, and if these speakers don't have enough bass I have a sub woofer I could hook up. The main reasons I'm thinking about buying them is because I can only use my current speakers when i turn on my computer (its a pain to unplug aux cord from down below). And My desk is underneath a loft bed so the speakers don't spread the sound across the room to well. So my question is would I notice the difference if I bought these new bookshelf speakers. In terms of sound, loudness, clarity. BTW I would be keeping the computer speakers as well. Thanks!

The kirsch Promedia speakers should be fine while sitting in front of the computerbut if your trying to create a separate music system while not sitting in front of the computer that you will use separately your idea is probably a good way to gobut if your thinking of combining the two to play all at once not a good idea.the reason being is that the promedia speakers and KB 15 speakers are really not compatible with one another. what happens is you get cross talk between the speakers that creates voids and peakson some frequencies the speakers will be compatible and will complement one another but on other frequencies the wave form from each speaker will interfere with the wave form coming from the other speaker creating distortion and cancelations of the wave formso you will get uneven results doing things that way.

You can use after-market speakers with the stock deck. I don't think you have 6x9 speakers in the rear, though; most Civics use 6-1/2 speakers on the rear deck. Even then, the stock speaker is very, very shallow; you'll need to use a spacer bracket to fit most after-market speakers in the same space.

watts mostly PMPO or peak music power output- most advertised on inferior products that reach that level of sound by using a bit too much distortion. The more reputable source of watts is RMS or root mean square (.707) of the peak of the sine wave. Either way let the casio rip as you probably won't wake up the old hag next door )

Sounds like a lot of work to get some old speakers to run with a computer. If the speakers are rated at 5watts, this would be their RMS value or constant wattage they can see for long periods of time. Without getting into too much detail with regards to sensitivity, 1w1m specs, etc. If the speakers are rated at 5watts I don't think they would be worth the effort just to plug them into your computer. Most computer speakers today run on a 25 -50 watt amplifier and costing around $50-100 and can produce some very high end sounds at your computer.
