- The link didn't work for me. Honestly, there isn't going to be a comfortable sofa bed. The best option that you have is to get a featherbed mattress pad and put it on there when you have guests over. It's not a big deal to take off at night and you can just put it in a close during the daytime.

- You'll look like a south american fiesta room...don't do this. ONE of the two must go. Truly Elegant Natural color leather is best and ageless. No red! Don't mess up the woodwork. Lots of for an oriental area rug, sort of geometric, not floral, that has your colors and work from there. Start with good taupe walls and perhaps add an accent wall later. Get the Red in accents and accessories. If, unfortunately, you have already bought the sofas, then the area rug, at least 5 x 8, will be the only saving grace, with some dark blue to tone it down. and keep it very near the sofa. Neutral walls!

- Try looking at a place that might have a scratched/dented section... a lot of times you can find a BRAND NEW couch!!! Sometimes the only thing missing is a throw pillow and they can't sell it at retail price!! :)

- Today it is called microfiber but it is a man made replacement fabric that simulates mohair. Mohair was used big time up until the 50s because it is so durable. But its cost when up so high it was priced out of the market. ???????????

- yes, recovered our own sofa several years back. those that pay otheres to do it are usually lazy and have no odea what to do w/ tools. the materail is readily available at placeslike JoAnns and such. they sell it by the yard. make sure when you remove the fabric to keep it as close to its original size as possible so you can replicate it. you'll need: a staple remover (a cats paw, or screwdriver) a knife /razor (to remove ol peices of fabric) and a stapler...ot tacks and a tack hammer FIRST! assure the structure of the sofa. broken boards and springs will make for more of a project than is worth (unles this is an heirloom) Second: choose your material carefully. remember it is going to be sat on. and check the foam inserts while youre in there. learn to do hospital corners, and youre good....shold cost about $200 or so if youve already got the tools. and a weekend. WAY cheaper than a new sofa! at least a good one....$200 retail sofas are usually junk andlast about two years....weve had our sofa for 17, w/ a plopper for a teenage son....weve spent about $1200 over 17 years thats less than a bill a year. and were not puttin a bunch o junk in a land fill...
