- Q:I am staying right now with my cousin and my son decided to sleep on the couch about 3 nights ago and he peed on the sofa....how can I get the smell out? I have tried using wintergreen alcohol and I have tried using distilled vinegar but the smell is still there does anyone have and suggestions for me?
- Try using a new product called Urine Out or something like that and it comes with a little black light so you can see if the urine came out ,I think it's sold at Linens and things or Bed Bath and Beyond.
- Q:The living room set I like does not come with a recliner or chair, and I'd really like at least 6 seats. I'm either thinking about 2 loveseats and a sofa or 2 sofas and a loveseat. - Just because things are sold as a set, doesn't mean you have to buy them; it's just what the store is hoping for. Why don't you look into getting two chairs instead of a loveseat. They are more versatile and easier to move around in a room. It doesn't have to be a part of the set. Just look for something that complements your sofa and loveseat.

- Cut the seam on the leather sofa cushions and fill it with kapok to the desired firmness. Then resew the seam using a proper thread made for sewing leather.
- Q:Last night my 3 year old poured a bottle of black fingernail polish on the arm of our tan sofa. Any ideas on how to get it out??
- You don't say what fabric your sofa is covered with, if you are able to remove the cover I would advise taking it to a dry-cleaner and taking the bottle of nail varnish along with you so that they can give it a try.....if not then do a test patch with some acetone free nail varnish remover on a small spot of your sofa that is out of sight to check for colour fastness and then work slowly at the stain from the outside edges towards the centre....it may well look worse before it gets better....but best of luck!!!

- How could you NOT notice something like that? I would call an upholstery shop. Please don't try something someone here suggests, it could ruin your sofa. You need to speak to a professional. Normally leather doesn't absorb liquids Wow, someone said to use bleach - not unless you want to ruin your sofa!

- You must sit on a sofa to determine leg length, neck support, whether or not is has an foot rest, etc. Leather is very nice. What suits one for comfort is terrible for another. Since it's 3 h away, I'd buy something local and really sit and test for all family members. And, if there's a problem you call your local dealer. Good luck!

- Q:So healthy urine Track infection free cats.. who gets love attention, food water, 2 private litter boxes one self cleaning one standard. I have 4 cats, all spayed. I don't know what's wrong.. they don't pee anywhere but my living room mainly on my sofa when it's covered with plastic or fabric... otherwise under it or in the opposite corner. I don't know what's going on with them.. it's been months.. of a nearly daily occurance. Every morning and night they get cuddled and played with (they are only alone a few hours out of the day and that's not nessecarily when they pee.) don't know what else it can be. Any ideas would be great. I read stuff about Prozatc and l- lysin for cats.. Is this crazy? I love my cats but I can not live in thier little box.
- They are probably peeing on it still because it smells like their urine. Cats will generally go in the same spot. Try moving the sofa to another room for a while and completely cleaning it. Keep the door closed so the cats cannot get near it. Clean the floor really well also. Cat urine is really, really hard to get out, so you'll have to really steam clean it. Then put their litter boxes where the couch was. You might even try putting a rag that you've wiped up their urine with in the litter so they smell it. Good luck. When we bought our house, there was a corner in one of the bedrooms where a cat had peed, and we didn't know it until after we bought the place, because the previous owners had it covered and air freshners in there. We had to replace the carpet and actually bleach the wood under it to get rid of the smell.
