Aluminum or PVC (UPVC) window is being made from Aluminum or UPVC profile, window accessories and glass.

To produce an Aluminum or PVC window you have to do the following steps:

Cut the profiles (Aluminum or uPVC Profile, reinforcement and Glazing bead)
Put reinforcement profile inside the uPVC profiles
Screw reinforcement profile into PVC profile
End mill the mullions
Open holes for door handles, sash fastener channels and espagnolette
Weld uPVC profile or Crimping Aluminum profile
Clean the welded corners of uPVC windows
Assemble window

You can ask the car dealership or use paper wrapping over windows such as a moon or sun roof rather than plastic to glass.

Q:where to find plastic covering for basement windows?: If you're asking about plastic that can be used like glass panes, it is available in 4'X8' sheets at Lowes or HomeDepot. Fairly inexpensive. Cutting can be done on a table saw with a fine tooth blade, BUT, must be cut slowly as it will tend to melt from heat at the cut and stick together. File or sand off any rough edges that remain. If you're speaking of plastic sheeting, it comes in rolls about 10' wide. Available at same stores.

First make sure the trim isn't bowed then use either a builders adhesive ( if necessary tape it to window with masking tape until it goes off ) or a thick gel-type superglue and stick this to the frame where it should overlap.by a few millimetres, The trim is not what keeps the draughts out as the gap around the frame sholud be filled with foam or silicone. The trim merely hides the gap and provides a neat finish

YOu are correct ...Use a home hair dryer after apllying the film to a clean perimeter of the insde window and it will shrink to a drum tight and air tight enclsoure. Come spring time you simply need to peel it off and you are back to the summer mode...HOwever you will have to re purchase again for next winter..But for the price you get a lot of value...The 3M is by far the superior product due to the adhesives used on the border and the mil thickness of the palstic...Of o =course you pay more as well ..

Q:Will covering the windows with thick painters plastic drastically help the window A/C unit cool the house down?Also, should i insulate the floor?: Make sure the windows are closed (sometimes they slip from the top - be sure to check that). Using solar film will help but it is rough to work with, replace the screens with solar screening as it is easier and does help quite a bit. Insulating the floor will do very little, extra insulation in the attic is the way to go. Be sure to replace the AC filter as that could be clogged with dust. On very sunny days close the blinds or shades to help prevent heat build-up.

Q:I'm moving out of my apartment in a couple weeks and i have these plastic-like window blinds around the place. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get these things clean without taking them down? Q:I don't mind if its designed for another brand but I am getting very frustrated because I can't find it on GE's site or any other. I bought the unit without it in hopes I could find one online but can't find the specific one. HELP! The piece is the one that sits in the window to hold the hose in the window. The unit is a Portable AC which means it sits on the floor not in the window so its got specially designed plastic plate piece that is adjustable for your window size.: Measure the window opening and go to a glass place with the hose and have them make you a lexan piece to fit the window with a hole in it. Lexan is very sturdy. You can run a rod straight thru the outside part of hose to keep it in place or tape it. It isn't like some technically expensive part to make. Actually it will probably be better than original. BTW, keep the hose as short as you can as it gets warm and heats the room as the compressor cools it. I had one and the closest I could get was 5 feet and it didn't help at all.
