- Sorry, no quick fix. Kind of like using cheap cling-wrap in the kitchen when the tear-strip doesn't cut it and the edge is somewhere on the roll, or cheesey transparent tape that breaks and you have to pick at it to start again. Seriously, easy on the Star-bucks, instead maybe a beer or a glass of wine, leave the cell-phone down, relax and deal with it. Good application, by the way. A really leaky window can cost you a hundred bucks before spring. If buying more, try the 3M products, always the best.

- There are products available for exactly your problem. Search an auto parts retail website. It serves to clean and protect the plastic, and the result is usually decent.

- It depends where you live. Where I live we don't have to sort our recyclables at all. Just put them in a special plastic blue box that the city gives us.

- Yes, but some are better than others. Anything that is strong enough that it won't tear will stop air from coming in. The plastic has no insulating value, or almost none. The value is that it traps air and thus resists heat flow. I prefer a crystal clear plastic because it looks better.

- It is for taking the wrinkles out of the plastic so it is airtight. Just put it as hot as it can go and blow on the wrinkles in the plastic until you get all the wrinkles out. Good luck!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get these things clean without taking them down? They're supposed to be white but I'm noticing a couple yellowish-brownish stains on them. - I have the same problem with mine. I've tried everything! Cleaning products you use to clean the kitchen and floors, vinegar, bleach, Oxiclean, etc... Nothing I've tried has even faded the stains. I have finally given up and believe the only way to get rid of the stains, is to replace the blinds with new ones.

- Cut your plastic to fit inside the opeing and use Blue masking tape to adhere to window. Taping to the drywall will cause bigger problems when removing.

- Try Ace Hardware. They use to sell clear heavy vinyl plastic on a roll that they would cut to the amount you need. Hope this helps.
