Utilidors is an acronym for Utility Corridors. This may be a tunnel system that contains all the necessary utilities to support a community, business of some other area needing electric, gas, water, sewer, communications, etc. These are found both above and below ground level depending on environmental concerns, costs, etc. The generators and transformers used to supply various points along the corridor and may be located above or below ground depending on design. A UG designed transformer for instance could be used below ground. A generator needs to be driven by something, gas engine, turbine, diesel engine, etc. these may be located below ground but it will have to have an external exhaust port somewhere. Is this generator going to be used in a location which is normally served by grid power. If so is it proposed to use the distribution system normally used when on the grid? If the answer to these questions is yes. The first step is to isolate the normal energy source. This has two purposes. a) to protect your equipment when power is restored and b) to protect people and equipment working on the external circuit. Once this is isolated wire the generator into the circuit (closing isolating switch if hard wired). Start the generator using normal procedures with minimal load in place. Slowly increase load until desired effect is achieved. When external power is returned. Slowly reduce load and isolate generator. Restore normal grid connection. Shut off generator.

it's the soot in the diesel fuel, it shouldn't affect anything as long as you change the oil at the proper times.

Is the house wired 3 phase or split phase or single phase? Very few houses are wired for 3 phase power. Iran uses 230/240 VAC 50Hz So from that, you need a single phase 240 VAC 50 Hz generator. A 12 kW generator at 240 volts would supply 50 amps. I'd run that to a breaker panel (if you don't already have one) and then run 10 amp lines with a 10 amp breaker to each AC. That leaves you with quite a few amps to run other appliances. You got off on a 3 phase tangent for some reason you aren't telling, but I don't think that is the way you want to go. hope that helps. .

Q:Remote, high altitude generator, 10 kW?
As most of the answers' say. A diesel / alternator set would be the best solution. The diesel engine must have a turbo charger to allow the engine to operate successfully at that altitude. However, I doubt that the engine would need to be rated at 30kW it may need to be somewhere around 15-20kW to drive the alternator into a standing load of 10kW. Generally I size the alternator at 1.25 of the standing load, so the alternator would need to be around 15kVA, provided the power factor is around .8. You will need to have an electrical engineer to check your load factor and determine what P.F. can be expected. If your load has several variable frequency or DC drives, this could cause a low PF. Therefore the kVA rating of the alternator would be higher. Also at the altitude, cooling of the alternator could be a problem due to the thin air. The generator manufacturer may be able to provide an oversized fan assembly to compensate for this. Best of luck, your quest is very interesting. If you mean the build-in pcb of a fuel/diesel generator which build-up voltage initially and then keep it stable under any load, then read this: First you need to see your generator minimum requirements to determine specs of AVR. You will probably found a label on generator with those Information: Ex. volt (maximum excitation voltage) Ex. amp (maximum excitation amperage) Your AVR output must exceed those specs. If generator is brushless type in most cases it does. Also input voltage of AVR must be the same as output of generator (ex. 110V110V, 220V220V). If generator is triple phase then you can do the same (ex. 380V380V, 440V440V) but if generator have output in star formation then you can use node for a smaller voltage of AVR (ex. 380V220V, 440V253V). If generator work in parallel operation (usually marine main generators does) then things get complicated. In this case AVR is good to support current transformer to make generator more elastic under load fluctuations and match other generators in the same circuit.

Hi It is the same as a gas engine to maintain. Except for the fuel has to be water free. There will be a bowl some where to empty the water. Changing the oil etc. depends on how much you use it.
