Well... if they're the big white plastic plugs, then you aim the clip for the notch and you're good to go. If they're the smaller plugs that look amazingly like jumpers... then your motherboard should have come with a diagram to show how to plug them in. If not, look on the motherboard and see if you see metal pins with text closeby that says things like PWR SW or RST or HDD LED or PWR LED, or something similar. Generally, the text will point in the direction that the plug needs to go. Also, you generally want to make sure that the open metal part of the plug faces towards the inside of the two rows of metal pins (should be a row of 4 and a row of 5). Hope that helps.

Q:I have an old school Soundstream 500s amplifier(500 Watts) and I want to put it in my 1965 Mustang Coupe. I want to have a small but clean sounding system for the old car, probably with two small subwoofers too. I need to get all new cables for this sound system, so what would be a good power cable for the amp? I need roughly about 25-30 ft. of cable just to be safe and a fuse as well.

Kicker,Tsunami,Memphis, or KnuConceptz. U can get away with 8awg but thats a nice car and u dont want to risk fryin anything so stick with 4awg I really dont recommend 8awg in ANY setup just dont like it, 4awg is perfect and gives u headroom as well, and 0awg wuld be overkill.

Q:I have one Ethernet cable running to a WiFi antenna. The antenna is powered by the Ethernet cable, using PoE. I want to be able to plug the current cable into a hub or switch, so I can connect other devices (non PoE) like an Xbox 360 or PC, but I also need to maintain the PoE to the antenna. Taking the antenna off PoE is not an option. What kind of device can I use to split this PoE line into PoE and non PoE cables?

familiar ethernet cable is nice for 100m (approximately 328 ft), Any device which includes a hub, router etc. oftentimes acts as a repeater, 'cleansing' and boosting the sign to make greater desirable the variety. The distances you point out will have not any impact on ethernet. besides the shown fact that any undesirable connection or cable alongside the way can doubtlessly injury the sign. I have not any issues extending broadband ethernet hyperlinks over a number of thousands of metres with strategically placed small switches alongside the way for serious enterprise use.

Q:My amp was working this morning. On my way home, the power cable came out somehow. I put it back in and it wasn't powering on. The amp fuses were blown, I replaced them. Then I went to hook the battery terminal back and the fuse in my power cable blew instantly. I replaced it and tried again and it blew again. Also the fuses in the amp are fine now. I did the same process when I installed my amp the first time and it was fine so I don't know why it's doing this now. The amp is a Boston Acoustics 800w RMS amp and an 80a fuse. Any ideas?

Look at your previous question. I told you what it probably is. Either you have strand(s) of power wire stick out somewhere and touching something it shouldn't be touching. Or. You tapped the power wire on something during removal and cooked the amps power supply. The current flow from a shorted circuit gets very hot, very fast.

Q:Allready got 2 1 Tb's external with power cable.Thinking of buying another 1TB, should i go with power cable or not?I was told the ones with Power cable are **** and wont last long :S?I think, that it would perform abit better since its not drainning my Laptops Usb Power?

You will need to look up the motherboard manufacturer to find the pinout for the cabling. That would be the fastest way. or you could use a small flat screw driver to short the pins until you find the right combo...the latter could result in damaging your mainboard but not likely. You will need to look at the original case plug if possible. HP/Compaq do not list the pinout nor is it written on the board. all it it listed as is HPanel1.

You got the wrong power supply. Get an IDE to Sata power adapter.
