Look for a number on the front of the converter box on the charger it should be a combination of letters and numbers. Just type in your Google shopping search bar Laptop charger XXX and look at compatible results. Don't even try to look up one on hp's site, they will charge you about 5 times what it will cost you for one on OKorder or something. Hope this helps :D

Troll patrol a brilliant answer as far as humour goes. Your computer would normally have spare power leads in it in case you want to add other drives. if not then try taking one from your CD rom and plugging it to your hard drive. Only problem here is your system may boot from the cd rom.

I do not know the codes or regulations in Chicago but i do know in most states it against the law to have power lines resting on a structure. Those two lines resting on the garage could be the cable and phone company's and that is not against the law. However you could call the phone company and cable company and ask them to move them for you. If you can make a valid point that those lines are causing you harm or disturbing you in anyway possible then the company's will have to move it. And for the power cables there is probably nothing you can do unless it is really resting on your garage. But they will just tighten the line and not actually move it.

Q:So I'm trying to add a sata hard drive from an older computer in my new one, but I encountered a problem. I have the cable the connects to the motherboard and the hard drive, but when looking at the power connectors for the hard drives, there is only one and it is connected to the main hard drive. Am I missing something that is slapping me in the face here, or is this a design flaw? there are 6 hard drive holders sooooo, it seems that there should be 6 power cords inside, but no. Only one. are you sure there's not 1 power cord with six plugs on it? often the power cables will have connectors all the way down them.

When trying to install it I found out that the power socket isnt the same as my current hard drive. The port you have circled is not a power port. The long L shaped port is the power connection for a SATA drive. The smaller one is for the SATA cable. Not sure what the other one is but some photos I see say for factory use only.

2 amps is a pretty small current so it doesn't need a big cable - there are other cables passing through for the back lights, find out where they run and see if you can just ease another one through the gap,it might work with a little lubrication. Just don't try to poke anything sharp through the hole. There are special fish wires that electricians use to get cables through holes conduits, you could try one of those or at least see how they are shaped so you can use something similar - you'll only need a short fishwire you probably have to buy a 5m length if you want the real thing. Q:I am upgrading a two-year-old higher end HP tower to include a mirrored hard drive. I did a little vacuuming and inspection and plan to order the exact model drive which is in there now. I noticed that the SATA cables used include a simple plastic latching mechanism in the connector. I checked CDW and found quot;latchingcables made by Startech which I assume should work (but the latching part is made of stamped metal). My biggest question is the power connector. The factory installed molex-to-SATA adapter also has this latch mechanism (on the black hard drive side), but I cannot find a cable anywhere mentioning a latch on the power connector. Is this something specific to factory installation?Thanks.
