Body of high-performance pipeline ball valve is forged structure.The connection type for body and vice-body can be BB(bolted connection)and WB(welded connection).The WB(welded connection)and the LWB(Fully-welded extended stem)structure isadopted for buried ball valves,as shown below.

)Multi-level structure of the valve seat seal
As shown in Figure4,there are two elastic O-ring in the valve seat ring-ring A and ring B.Sealing ring A spring-loaded through the valve seat so that the sealing surface of sealing ring A tightly fit with ball surface to form an initial seal.When there is pressure in the system medium,the piston force
produced by the piston force produced by the piston effect of size difference makes elastic deformation of the ring A Ershi sealing surface and ball more closely fit the surface to form a re-sealing;meanwhile,due to ring A in the medium resulted in elastic deformation under pressure so that the sealing ring B is also closely fit the surface of ball for the formation of the second stage seal.When the system medium pressure increasing,it will have an enormous pressure in the valve seat ring A and ring B,so that the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,and then the metal valve seat ring surface and the ball surface sealing together to form a third level of metal to metal seal.

)The assisted valve seat sealing equipment
Based on the actual service condition,medium requirement,sealing requirement,etc.,the assisted valve sealing equipment will be considered to be necessary or not.The assisted valve sealing equipment is a one-way valve installed outside of valve body that can prevent medium leakage and can inject sealing grease into valve body by external force.When the assisted valve seat sealing equipment is required,valve seat ring shall be design and processed with injection grove and hole to connect the assisted valve seat sealing equipments.Such equipment can prevent the medium by the sealing of injection of rease.Refer to Figure5 for reference.

Multi-level structure of stem sealing 
Figure6 shows the stem multi-level sealing by adopting"O"ring,flexible graphite and grease injection;"O"ring achieves the first level stem sealing;Replaceable flexible graphite realizes the second level sealing by the compression of packing sleeve and packing flange;And the third evel sealing is realized by installing assisted sealing injection valve to the packing box,and by designing with the injection groove and hole to connect with the stem injection valve,which can inject grease.

Ball valve fireproof design is implementation of the API607,API6FA standards.According to service conditions and user requirements,ball valve can be designed as a fireproof structure.

)Fireproof structure of seat
As shown in figure7,there is composite fireproof ring,which are combined with graphite and stainless steel wire in the seat.Once the soft ring is burnt out in case of a fire,the fireproof ring and seat ring will form a piston structure through the spring to load the valve body.That will push and closely contact the metal seal surface of the seat ring to the body surface,So as to prevent a lot of medium from leaking from the burnt place of the seat ring,and prevent the fire from expending.

The seal gasket for bolt connecting valve body and valve bonnet,are used fireproof stainless steel wire and flexible graphite gaskets.Gasket compression load through the bolts and ultimately,ensure the valve body and valve cover between the metal to metal contact,so that the valve can with stand more high load,but also improve the fire safety of the valve.But for the full welded ball valve,the valve body and cover is welded structure,that fundamentally eliminate the possibillity of leakage of the valve housing.Even in the case of fire damage,there will be no leak.

Q:why can't i just use solenoid valves hooked to a small bank of relays(using relay logic to control operation) connected to thermostats to control a multi zone boiler system? it would work, but can i do it, why must i use expensive zone valves?
Its just an educated guess but I would say it would cause system shock if a valve just snapped shut as against closing gently. Assuming the system was shutting down as a zone valve shuts the control switch opens and turns off the plant whilst the valve is still partly open. With a solenoid unless you fit a timer to pre shut off the plant then shut off the solenoid you would probably cause some plant damage. Also by the time you have wired all that lot up you may as well do the job with a zone valve.

Q:I have a 1997 Toyota Corolla. My check engine light has been on. I tried to get my car smogged and it failed. I then got an oil/air filter change and just yesterday I replaced the EGR valve which was the result given after 2 diagnostic tests. The mechanic gave me my car and the check engine light was off, I've only driven about 5miles and the light is back on. I have to pass smog asap to register my vehicle. I plan on calling the mechanic back and telling him the light is on, but could it just be a sensor?
Let's start from the top. Your check engine light has been on and you took it to be smogged and you probably didn't know that the check engine light on is an automatic fail. So you get the oil/air filter changed without a reason, just because. Next, the diagnostic tests point to the EGR valve so you have a mechanic replace it, that is instead of having the mechanic figure out the real problem The mechanic could have replaced the valve or not, but you didn't get the old one from him, so you don't know if it's been replaced. He disconnected the battery so the light went out. Now it's back on so the problem isn't fixed. Could it be a sensor. Well, sure, but proper testing would tell you if it was. My GUESS is the EGR valve and ports where the EGR attaches just need to be cleaned out but without proper testing, that is just a guess. My suggestion is find a different mechanic, one who doesn't just disconnect the battery to turn the check engine light off, and don't go in telling this new mechanic what you think the problem is because you don't know.
Q:My car hesitates on the highway 55 m/h and up after about 20 minutes of highway driving, I unplugged the EGR valve to see if it still hesitates, but the problem went away after disconnected the Egr, so is it for sure that the valve is bad? Just wanted to make sure there's no other component that could be also be bad. I have a toyota avalon 1997.
EGR valve will cause trouble at idle, like at a stoplight, not highway speeds.

The powerband is caused by tuning an engine, they are most noticeable on a small lightweight 2-stroke. When you are riding and you change up too early you will have noticed the bike slows down and does not accelerate very well, but if you keep the rpms within a certain range it will accelerate smoothly – that is the effect of a powerband, it can be moved up or down the rev range by altering the ports and by changing the harmonics of the expansion chamber (the trumpet shape of the exhaust system). Either your garage is having a laugh at you or they are hopeless – I suspect the former. EDIT: You make it faster by tuning it –?making it less reliable and these bikes are already peaky. If you make them more peaky you will need to run them at higher revs –?higher revs = more power from available torque, therefore you do not want to move the powerband down the range or broaden it. Changing the sprockets will not improve acceleration AND top speed it is one or the other.

Not much can make it better or worse as long as you are in good health and are taking care of yourself. One thing that is very important when you have valve issues is to stay hydrated.

An okorder /. There's numerous systems that use isolation valves. Let's say you want to make some ice cream, you open the isolation valve to let the milk flow into the mixer, then open the valve to let in the cream. Depending on the valve type, you could then open it to allow in the vanilla, sugar, egg, etc. All with the same valve. It just keeps the ingredients from coming in contact . A block valve is used to shut off a supply, so you can perform maintenance, or just stop the flow.
Q:Is it hereditary? My dad had a bicuspid valve and we got told it was hereditary but some doctors say it's not, my parents wanted to get me tested in case i had it so we would know in advance but the doctors here refuse to do it (I live in England if that makes a difference) my dad said he would pay to go private if it's hereditary. Yes, some studies have found Bicuspid aortic valve to be hereditary. Some studies show that the incidence of bicuspid aortic valve can be as high as 5% in families affected with the valve issues. In the UK there is no routine screening for people with relatives who have BAV. If you develop any symptoms or problems then of course see your GP again.
Q:The timing belt in my 93 honda accord went out going about 45mph,i then paid someone 150 dollars to put in the new timing belt and it began to shake and he told me that the valves were bent.....i went to a local mechanic and he told me that the valves in honda accords dont bend...is this true?and how much is an average cost to repair the valves and pay someone to do all this?can i do it myself?
OK the valves int eh honda when the timing belt goes will impact the top of the cylinder. Now wether this bends them or not isn't the issue what is the issue is that there is damage to what is called the top end of the engine. A new head, is your best bet. As long as it didn't crack a piston when the valve hit the piston. If you are mechanically able I would go get a used head from a junkyard. go to a shop and have it checked for cracks etc. and have the valves checked. Not necessarily a valve job done unless it needs it. Put that on and that should fix your shaking issue. This is the route I have taken on numerous engines.

PCV valves don't really affect the way a car runs. Unless you leave the hose to it open, creating a massive vacuum leak. They're to keep acidic gases from building up in your crankcase. Without it, you would need to change your oil a lot more often. Before about 1965 or so, cars had what's called a road draft tube, which through a venturi effect, drew out these vapors. Some sort of crankcase ventilation has been used pretty much as long as there have been cars. Many newer vehicles don't actually use a valve, but a calibrated orifice instead.
