Q:How can I shampoo my carpet??
Those cans of sprays are ineffective and can prove quite costly and the powders you speak of are granules and those you must have a special machine to to pick up the granules you simply can not vacuum up this stuff, my suggestion to you is to use what I use Baking soda and Cornstarch mixed, sprinkle these two in equal amounts over your carpet wait several hours or overnight and then just vacuum up the next day or after several hours, thats it. it is easy and cleans the carpet very nicely for spots you can just use a small dollop of Shaving cream on the spot and rub in and allow to dry then just vacuum up this will remove grease and muddy dirty spots and some stains, if you have trouble removing certain stains just use undiluted White Vinegar or a little dishwashing liquid mixed into some warm water sponge on and then rinse with warm water never hot water as this will cause the pile to mash down and become stiff Good Luck !
Q:can you lay laminate floor over carpet?
absolutely not! it will not lay evenly, if the carpet is dark dirty in spots you are trapping all that underneath ripping up carpet takes a day of labor, cutting in strips with a carpet knife makes it even faster
Q:Do carpet beetles attack pets?
They bite live animal remains and products, like mounted animals, skins and fibers such as wool and silk. Not live animals. The varied carpet beetle, Anthrenus verbasci, is common in California. The adult is about 1/10 inch long and black with an irregular pattern of white, brown, and dark yellow scales on its elytra (wing covers). In older adults the scales that form this pattern wear off so the beetles appear solid brown or black. Outdoors, female beetles search out spider webs and nests of bees, wasps, and birds in which to lay their eggs. The nests contain dead insects, beeswax, pollen, feathers, or other debris that can serve as larval food. Indoors, beetles deposit eggs on or near wool carpets and rugs, woolen goods, animal skins, furs, stuffed animals, leather book bindings, feathers, animal horns, whalebone, hair, silk, dried plant products, and other materials that can serve as larval food.
Q:How to best remove the greasy dirt on the carpet?
Scrub the carpet with brush dipped in strong brine or gasoline. Learn some knowledge about the maintance and cleaning of carpet. ①If the blue ink stains the carpet, immediately use rice to rub it, then use neutral detergent, such as washing powder to wash it. ② If red ink stains carpet, immediately use alcohol to wash it , and then use neutral detergent to wash it again. ③If the carpet is left with old ink stain, the stains should be soaked with milk firstly, and then scrubed repeatedly by brush dipped in milk. ④If there are grease stains on the carpet, scrub the carpet with brush dipped in strong brine or gasoline. ⑤If the shoe polish or paint stain the carpet, scrub the carpet with banana oil or gasoline , and then wash it with neutral detergent. ⑥If there are blood stains on the carpet, scrub the carpet firstly with cold water, and then with salt brine or lemon juice. Don't use hot water to wash the carpet, because the blood will be solidified cement in hot water. ⑦If there are tea or coffee stains on the carpet, smear glycerol on the stains, then use cloth with warm water to wipe the stains, finally, use neutral detergent to wash it. ⑧ The soy sauce, vinegar, milk, ice cream, beverage and others stain the carpet, firstly absorb the stains with a aqueezed cloth which soaked in warm water at first, and then scrub the stains with alcohol .
Q:How to get dry smeared nailpolish out of carpets?!?!!?!?
You'll have to scrape it off or pull it off. Theres no other way but to pull or scrape it off. It might be pretty hard though.
Q:why does my cat pee on the bathroom rug?
It's common for cats to begin eliminating outside of their litter box when they have a medical problem. For example, a urinary tract infection or crystals in the urine can make urination very painful. Cats often associate this pain with the litter box and begin to avoid it. It may be a behavior problem, but that is usually not it. I would take her to the vet for a checkup, because only he can tell you for sure. With medicine and a correct diet, if it is crystals, they can be desolved. With a male cat they can be fatal if not treated immediately.
Q:Stains out of car carpet mats?
There are several dissimilar cleaning methods to choose from such as Steam Cleaning, Dry Cleaning, Shampoo, Foam Cleaning and Bonnet Cleaning. Most of them are like Do-It-Yourself types. Removing stains from your carpet can be an overwhelming task for many. However, it is not really as bad as it sounds. There is always a solution, even if the stains are really tough, as the ones from coffee or red wine could be easily removed from your carpet. There are simply so many ways you can do it. I can hardly elaborate all of them but you might search the methods i just mentioned. And yeah, if it all fails, there definitely is the carpet cleaning service done by professionals.
Q:How to freshen a smelly carpet?
Remove it and burn it. Then get polished boards or tiles.
Q:How to get nailpolish off of carpet? ?
If it didn't go into the carpet, let it dry. If it is just lightly on the surface, you can take a razor blade and scrape it off after it dries. If you try to use nail polish remover, it will smear, spread, and make it look worse. The best thing to do on carpet is to try to remove it when it's dry and can be scraped or cut off. I slopped latex paint on my carpet. After it dried, I took thin shears and got just behind the dried paint and cut it away. Although nail polish is not a latex, I still think this is the best way to go. If you must try to use remover, try to get the dry polish off as much as you can first. Then with the remover, stay limited to just the area of the spill, so as not to spread it.
Q:fur coats and rugs?
I have never heard of a Girraffe coat or rug or a Polar Bear coat however, to find a Polar Bear Rug now may be very difficult and expensive but I would try the yellow pages in my community and call all the furriers listed especially if they sell Fur skins. You could even try the fur auctions such as the North Bay Fur Auction. Sorry I don't have a number.
