Q:I got ash stains on the carpet, some is burnt, which I cut off, but the rest is just stained by the ash. What should I use to clean the carpet?
Carpet cleaner - get a bristle brush and some carpet cleaner ( resolve works well ) Spray the cleaner on the carpet and after a few minutes brush the stain. It'll come up , it might take a few tries.
Q:I have not always found snug bugs in my rugs......so I am taking a poll here today to see if this saying could have some real validity to it. Do YOUR rugs have snug bugs? If so, how many snug bugs can you count in your rugs? And lastly, why on earth do we tolerate snug bugs in our rugs? What think you?
SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG - Safe; comfortable.'The Stratford Jubilee,' a play of 1769, carries this line: 'If she (a rich widow) has the mopus's, I'll have her as snug as a bug in a rug.' Mopus is a lost word meaning money. From The Dictionary of Cliches by James Rogers (Ballantine Books, New York, 1985).
Q:I live on the North Shore in Massachusetts.I am looking for somewhere that would have classes on how to make braided rugs. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction? Thanks!
It seems like braided rugs are pretty intuitive -- just braid and sew, and use your imagination. If you are afraid of goofing up, you could try doing coasters or placemats first. I don't think you need a class, but sometimes it's nice to do it with other people.
Q:i live in a house on a college campus, and after all the parties and everything, the floors tend to get dirty. my white shag area rug is right by my door, so a lot of dirt has been tracked onto it and it's starting to look gray and isn't fluffy anymore. i love my rug, is there any way to save it?
I'm sure the rug is machine washable. Try washing it in the machine on the Warm setting (not hot) using regular detergent and OxiClean. (Before cleaning shake the rug outside to remove any loose dirt.) If the rug does not have a rubber backing, you can machine dry it. If it does have a rubber backing, let it air dry. If you air dry the rug, you might need to fluff it afterward with a clean hair brush.
Q:How can I clean the tea juice on the carpet?
Water washing (suitable for chemical fiber carpet)Use equipment: carpet brush, sprayer, water suction machine, carpet cleaning machine.Use material: Carpet shampoo.Operation method:1, vacuum cleaner with a vacuum cleaner2, diluted detergent can also be injected into the water tank3. Spray detergent all over the carpet4, 10-15 minutes after the stain out of fiber5. Wash with a washing machine, operate backward, and make each operation part of overlap, at least two times after washing6, in the cleaning carpet at the same time, with a suction machine to clean the carpet has been washed7, let the carpet completely dry, in order to speed up the carpet dry, you can start carpet drying machine.
Q:cat pissed on my NEW rug as you can tell i'm not happy. I hate to throw it away. That's 400.00 i hate to throw away. I used vinger and soap. pLus i shampooed it. WHat can i do
I just Googled Ashley area rug and noticed that they are made from nylon, one of the points being easy to clean. Can you ask the manufacturer or place you bought it? I'd try just straight white vinegar sponged on and then blotted. I'd then elevate or hang the rug so both sides can air until completely dry. Get a squirt bottle and use it keep the cat off the rug. Good luck.
Q:Saw a picture of the Mega Doily Rug... Awesome. Made with cotton rope and a size S crochet hook or your hands. Is it true that you can really take any doily pattern and just use this huge cotton rope to make a rug? Would you have to alter the pattern at all? Thanks for any help! Wanna make one for my grandma.
we can start up with calisthenics. you have all substitute into fat and lazy throughout my self imposed exile. Then we can pass into objective practice and studying a thank you to make a gun from the bones of your enemies. Then we can take a wreck for Kool-help, curiously the drink of decision for you muffin tops, and a small can of sardines. Then we will examine from my newly released e book 'not returned! Warnings from the destiny approximately ability substitute destiny Threats to the Universe.' Then we can take a short nap earlier swimming interior the lake and then a potluck. do not carry your Korean motor vehicle.
Q:I was just wondering instead of buying a brand new rug I may just get the one he has now repaired. However like I said in the other question the neck slips down and as he is clipped it's not good...this is how it looks..
He is such a cutie! - i dont think a lycra hood would stop the rug slipping like that. but it would provide some protection for his neck and stop the other rug rubbing away any fur in the places it doesnt fit properly. - if you are going to get it repaired, you could also get it altered so that it is smaller. or if you can, you could just put more holes in it so that it will fasten tighter if you know what i mean. you can do that with a hot piece of metal like a screwdriver. the eat will also seal the hole so that the edges dont fray. - if you get a new rug you will probably have the same issue with the neck part not fitting right because the body part looks fine. - also, you could just get a lycra hood and fold the current hood part back so it is out of the way
Q:I would like help buying an area rug for the master bedroom. What kind of material, thread count, under rug mats? I need to know every thing. I have been looking on OKorder and see a lot of rugs that look nice for under $100. Are these rugs to good to be true? Are they really just junk or can a $100 6x8 area rug really be of good quality?
Best to shop at a retailer rather then buying one site unseen.. Visit a merchant that only sells area rugs who will explain the pros and cons . You might be able to custom make and choose your own color and design to suit your project ,,after all youre not just making a home accessory purchase...youre making a statement .
Q:What are the main differences between Persian and Oriental rugs (other than where they come from, obviously), and which is generally considered to be superior?
A Persian rug is from Iran. An Oriental rug can be from anywhere in Asia. The Persian rugs have the best quality and command the best prices. I would compare a Persian rug to a Cuban Cigar. However, as with cigars the other countries products are catching up fast.
