- Q:My boyfriend just spotted a baby crane by a tree. It looks like it fell out. A dog was sniffing around so he took the baby crane to his place. I'm trying to find information about cranes, but I find nothing since they're not usually pets unless they're some rare breed. I would really appreciate any advice or input on how to care for the crane until it can fly. Also, how old are cranes when they fly?
- In the wild they will eat small rodents, snakes, worms, grasshoppers, crickets and insects. Also give it some water. You can find some of these at the pet store. For it's health I would not feed it any human foods.
- Q:3years after I quit a job,I am once again looking toward the same field it's just that in my old job they helped me get a crane license when I left the job they kept my certification .How can i get that info without asking my old work for it,or would i have to take the course over?
- If it's still valid all you need to do is get a duplicate from the agency that issued it.
- Q:was he a realist or naturalist
- Stephen Crane was a naturalist a lot like Jack London. His main themes were man vs. nature and man vs. himself in which nature is an abstract, omnipotent force that does not (and really cannot) care what becomes of the individual. In Crane's writings, man is often faced with strengths and weaknesses within himself when confronted by extremes of uncaring Nature (see the short story The Open Boat).
- Q:It's a local company in Omaha that seriously could be the next Starbuck's if they ever expand.
- It won't expand if Starbucks have their way. They have driven all their competiton out of business. I hope Crane Coffee can survive.
- Q:Is a crane a type of pulley?
- i would think it's closer to a lever. in fact, it's a complicated machine that uses multiple simple machines.
- Q:I've been wondering about the infamous Crane Stance that many people associate with Martial Arts. Is the Crane Stance a technique that can be used in a fight and strike an opponent effectively without overly exposing yourself to strikes by your opponent? If it is, what are some techniques that can be used out of a Crane Stance?
- It's not a stance that would be used in a real fight, on even ground. My teacher's best interpretation for it is if you were fighting an opponent on a set of stairs. If he was below you and attempted to pull one of your feet out from under you, you are drawing your foot back to avoid this. But no, you would never use this in real life (unless it was on the ground in order to get a submission) - it is more of a stance to learn how to balance yourself!
- Q:They;re ENORMOUS!!! Do they take them apart or something?
- Large cranes are dismantled and sections are placed on numerous flatbed semi-trucks and transported to other locations. Typically this is done early morning, or late evening when traffic is at its minimum. Sections are typically no longer that 60' in length.
- Q:I have a vessel 40 feet off the ground in a platform, and the crane can get to within 30 feet of it (from the side). I'm more curious of the process for sizing them though.
- As you won't be building your own crane (that would be stupid since you would be fully liable). Call a crane vending/renting company. They'll be more than eager to provide you with technical council. How you pick a crane? What do you need to do with it - type of crane for instance -Moving stuff around in a warehouse, yard,.. always at the same places = overhead crane -Lifting heavy stuff once (for instance another crane) or for a short period - mobile crane -lifting stuff for a longer period but not permanent (construction) = tower crane How much do you need to lift, what can it cost? ... It's al pretty simple
- Q:i have a report on it and its due on the 20th
- I'm from the Sandhills of Nebraska and that is where some of them come from.
- Q:Has anyone actually folded 1000 paper cranes? i want some proof
- no and no proof
