The stoppage is at the junction of the sink and tub connection point. Drain-0 only works in the p-trap. Home Depot sells a liquid drain cleaner in a 1 qt black bottle that's packed into a plastic bag. It's a very strong acid. I believe it is hydrochloric acid. Follow directions and pour the recommended quantity down the sink drain. It will work it's way down the the stoppage. Let it sit for about 1 hr. I've used it twice with success. I'm saying the sink drain because the stoppage appears to be at the junction of the sink and tub drain with the major stoppage on the sink side.

Q:We recently renovated our entire house and we replaced all the faucets in the entire house. The electric hot water heater was also relocated. But now the water doesn't get hot in either bathroom sink. The faucets were purchased from Home Depot I have enclosed the link below. There may, be a stop tap for the tap, which doesn't affect other taps, which someone has turned off. The only other things I can think of. are something blocking the tap, which you would notice, or the tap itself is failing to open the seal. If you intend to take tap apart to look into it, be sure to turn off the stop tap which leads to that tap, and more likely to other water outlets as well, not the supply tap where water enters the building, as this won't stop the water from the storage tanks. Hope you sort it out, if not try ringing a plumber for advice, some ARE that considerate, as I found when I was having problems fitting self cutting tap for washing machine, it might have more chance if a lady rings.

Q:I have gurgling noise in my bathroom sink. I have snaked up through the vent pipe-through the bathroom sink (and that will stop the gurgling for a few months but then it comes back). I don't beleive the snake goes all the way to the roof (but I'm sure it's close). Any suggestions?Should I buy an extra extra long snake, and snake the pipe all the way to the roof?Should I climb on the roof and put a garden hose in the vent pipe and turn the water on?; if so what risks/problems should I be mindful of before putting water down the vent pipe via a garden hose?Thanks

Sounds like a vent problem. Flushing with a garden hose will not cause any problems since the roof vent is merely an extension of the main waste pipe. If you live in an area where freezing occurs, do not put a flat screen over the vent pipe. Condensation will occur and the moisture will freeze and form a seal over the pipe, blocking it.

Q:I share the bathroom with my parents and theirs is really clean!!! But its all the way at the other side of the house so i use my brothers during the night. And there are tiny bugs sorta like magots in the sink it grosses me out so much i dont wash my hands. Do you think i should clean it and kill them or what??? They are probaly attracted to the dirt and gross stuff in the drain but it makes me sick!

I would just pour bleach down the drain to kill whatever is in there attracting bugs, then I would go ahead and clean the rest of the bathroom myself. Then, I would buy him some Lysol wipes and set them under the sink and if he don't take the hint and use them, I would just use one at night to wipe down at least the sink and toilet myself. I can't use a dirty bathroom.
