Q:My question to those who are working in cement industry?
There are two possible options. First you need to maximize the strength potential of the cement clinker you are blending with the natural pozzolan to make the pozzolanic cement. This means stabilizing the clinker mineralogy and boosting the alite content. You can do that by lifting LSF or SM dependent on your current clinker chemistry. Another alternative would be to add calcium fluoride to the raw mix. Secondly you could add a cement conditioner to activate the pozzolanic reaction in the cement. Possibly alkali carbonates or potassium sulphate.
Q:1 cement bag??
The actual cement required for concrete is affected by the choice of the maximum coarse aggregate size. As the maximum coarse aggregate size is decreased the cement content must increase to provide the required quantity of cement paste to coat all of the aggregate particles. Assume that the proportions will be made based on one part being a cubic foot (this is convenient since a 94 lb. bag of cement is 1 cubic foot of bulk material). For a 3/4 maximum coarse aggregate, the mixture would be 1 part portland cement, 2 1/2 parts sand, 2 1/2 parts coarse aggregate, and 1/2 part water. The sum of the parts is 6 ½. In general the final volume of concrete produced will be approximately 2/3 of the sum of all the volumes included in the mixture. Therefore the approximate volume of this concrete mixture is 4.3 cubic feet. If you adjust the above mixture based on a 80 lb. bag of cement, then you will produce 3.7 cu. ft. per bag approximately. If you are talking about an 80 lb. bag of ready mix (sand garvel are already mixed in the bag), then it would be 0.60 cu.ft. per bag.
Q:How to install cement backer board in a shower?
Install like drywall except use backer board screws. You can seal the joints. If going over a sub-floor you can use an adhesive between the sub-floor and the backer board.
Q:How do you fill a tire with cement?
to fill... stand it upright, cut a hole or slit to pour the concrete in.... have someone weld up a bracket for you to mount the pole...
Q:Where can I find a cement goose?
We have those places with cement lawn ornaments everywhere here in Indiana. I dont know what part of Ohio you are in, but here are a bunch of places in Ohiop that sell concrete lawn ornaments. They should have the geese. Im sure it is a popular item. Dont forget to buy clothes for your goose!
Q:installing cement board/hardibacker?
The edge requirement is just so that you hit deadwood on the outside to keep it from flexing. So that the tile won't come loose later on. just screw it close to the bottom on the stud.
Q:How many bags of cement do you have in 1 cubic meter of concrete mixed in the ratio 1:4:8?
3 x25kg bags of cement for 1 kub concrete.......what a joke !!!!! There is 16 wheel barrows in a kub of sand + stone mix (normally 50-50 sand to stone ) For every 4 wheel barrows you use 1 bag of 50kg of 32.5 cement So.....it gives you 4x50kg cement to mix 1 kub of concrete. The slump depends on what you wanna use the concrete for........it means if you need concrete for floor screeting you are going to use less water( it will be a more stiff mix ) More water added for foundations and big floor areas where you will use rolers to flatten out and after drying for about 6 hours you apply the mechanical machines for screeting. Make sure you screet through the slurry.(polish the floor and not the screet). Its better to make use of ready mix with a % fibre in the mix for big area flooring and try to work in the shade.....ok?....Happy hunting..
Q:Ask the experts I want to open our rural street inside the shop to invest in a 4W or so I saw that there is a reinforced cement shop 2 hardware building materials 5 to 7.
You can open a small jewelry shop, or children's clothing store. You reference it!
Q:Does anyone know a liquid that will soften cement?
Nope!....'Sorry. I don't know what the surface is the cement is on and you don't indicate whether it's plaster or cement so it's hard to really advise you what to do. Contractors (and me) use something called muriatic acid which is really industrial grade hydrochloric acid. The thing is, Amanda, cement is really a form of limestone, and acid, any acid, will react with limestone to turn it into calcium chloride, water, and carbon dioxide. In fact, if you pour acid on cement (or marble) you will see it fizz; that's the carbon dioxide being formed from the reaction. You can buy muriatic acid in hardware stores, but it might damage the surface the cement is stuck to. If it's tile, it will work fine, just wear gloves and rinse the surface, of course. I wish you had told us what the surface is; it would have helped us give better advice.
Q:Whats the best way to remove Backsplash cement board without damaging Drywall!?
depending on how old the house is, the sheetrock could be different - past 5-6 years they have built better sheetrock (older sheetrock is more likely to crumble no matter what you do). First you have to see if it is glued, nailed or screwed on. If it is glued, you are better off replacing your sheetrock so you have a better substrate for your new backsplash. If nailed, it should come off easy, and if screwed, you can see the screws in order to back them out. Good luck - hope it works out.
