- confident, you could. I certainly have a Beyer MCE-80 one that demands phantom capacity and it takes an XLR cable. - Q:My setup is an alpine MRX-M100 powering 2 alpine type R 12's on 4 ohm, and also an old eclipse PA 5422 speaker amp. The main thing is I have 4 gauge running from my battery to my amps, but I have this sort of distribution block that turns the 4 gauge wire into 2 8 gauge wires. I know that this probably isn't the best for the MRX-M100, but it's all I had or what I could afford at the time. The main thing I wanted to ask was is this bad for the amp, and what would it be like if I had 0 gauge coming off the battery so then it would be 4 gauge going to the amps? Would it be louder? Could I turn it up higher? because right now if I turn up the volume past a certain point the subs will just stop playing. If I just shut off my head unit and turn it back on they start up again. Your thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated!

- Q:Last step to install my amp is the Power Cable. Their is a fuse device i must attach to the cord so im guessing i have to cut the gauge install it on both sides and run it to the battery. Does it matter were this fuse device connects? because i want it right next to my amp.thnx
- Actually, you're on the right track all by yourself. Your in-line fuse SHOULD be right next to your amp. Specs say not more than 12 inches from the amp, but I personally wouldn't gop more than six inches away. It looks much cleaner, and is the most common way systems are designed. Just make sure your connections are rock solid. Sounds like you're doing a great job.

- Q:My friend I were going to play his second Xbox 360 n his living room. Went to turn it on and the RROD turned up with three lights. So we took this one and hooked it up to the cables in his room. And guess what? No RROD... So, I am lead to belive that the Xbox 360's power cable is the one that causes the RROD. Only problem is that most people can' test this due to not having a second power cable. So post your ideas about this idea. Could Microsoft be lying to us by saying that the malfunction is inside there console. I'm only 14 and i figured this out. So, how is it that no one else has??
- Nope nothing new, there are like 5 types of RROD which is why they ask you to check the ligt on the power cable. if its green then its the consle but if its red then its the power cord. it might have been Red or you might have had the 1 time only problem which i had

- for low end cards, you dont need an additional 6 pin or 8 pin power cable for it. It is only for mid range and high range cards that need additional cable for it. For GT 520, you don't need it.
- Q:I just put a new sound system in my boat with a sony xplod sub and amp, and also an infinity reference amp with 4 kenwood speakers. The problem i'm having is that i had to run the amp power cable right past the right rear speaker and now i'm getting a lot of feedback when the engine is turned on. Is there any way to insulate the power cable so that i don't get that annoying feedback through that one speaker? thanks-Josh
- It sounds like alternator whine. you're transforming into to be a rca undesirable, floor loop, or low high quality amp. attempt working a 18ga twine from the headunit chassis to the amp chassis. If this solves the concern you have a floor loop. verify all your wiring(particularly the floor and its region) and make confident your rca cable isn't pinched and contacting a floor.
