- I have an Ikea sofa but not the one you mentioned. It's comfortable and sturdy for the 500$ I paid for it. With the one I have the cushions are not washable or dry cleanable. So getting them clean is very difficult. This is very annoying because my 2 year old is constantly on it. Find out the care instructions before buying, if it's washable I recommend them.

- I agree with Judith 100%. You get what you pay for. Ikea is not where I would go for a quality sofa that I expect to last for a long time. I don't really think it was made for years and years of comfort and durability. It is most likely worth what you are paying for it. I also agree with her about one single cushion, they are the most comfortable, and you can sit anywhere without sitting on a crack in the cushions. Look for something classic that won't go out of style in a couple years, and I would also stick with a solid fabric that you won't tire of, you can always jazz it up with prints on pillows, throws, in curtains and area rugs. I don't want to say Ikea has junk by any means, it is an affordable alternative for a tight budget, but won't give the years of use that a high end sofa will.

- She doesn't get a No Fee Passport as she is not an American Citizen. You need to contact the Korean Embassy/Consulate and request information on getting the necessary visa for her to be in Korea. It can require the Orders stating she has command sponsorship, her passport, marriage certificate as well. When that visa is granted she can fly to Korea after going through immigration and have her passport stamped. When that is done the paperwork is then submitted to have it changed to a SOFA stamp.

- You Cannot dye a sofa. That'd be pretty awesome if you could though. The best option is getting a covering for it that you can buy to fit your sofa. Custom made- which can be costly, but looks fab!

- Q:I dog-sat a friend's dog for three days and while the old girl was asleep on my sofa, her bladder released her urine onto one of my sofa cushions. My hound dog used to sleep on that sofa all the time, now she won't go anywhere near the sofa and I've tried all of the dog cleaners and all of the deodorizers! Does anyone have a homemade remedy? My hound dog will THANK YOU!!!
- The problem is not so much the urine in the seat cover, but most likely it soaked through into the foam underneath. If the cushions are removable from the sofa there should be a zipper on the back of the seat cover. This will allow you to remove the foam insert inside. Take that out, measure it and call some local upholstery shops and get a quote on one of them cutting you a new foam core that you can insert back into the casing once you've thoroughly cleaned said casing. That is the only way you will truly eliminate the problem. If the casing is NOT removable and you have an attached seat then it gets more complicated and you will have to call out an upholsterer to come out and see how difficult it would be to replace the foam insert. - make sure you have deep pocket sheets. You need to buy large sized or over sized mattress sheets. I have a similar problem with my tempurpedic, I think it is the foam, the sheets do not move as freely as they do on a regular mattress, so if you move the sheets tend to move too. You can also buy fastners that clip on to the sheets unser the matress, they do help, but again on my bed the middle of the side has risen by morning.
