First question is can you get fuel like coal or gas? If something like that is possible you might want to look into either trying to build or buy a small gas generator or a steam piston that you could then use to generate electricity. Otherwise water, wind or solar is your best bet. Solar probably won't work to well unless you can afford to buy panels, making them isn't really an option. Look into wind, but hydro power especially wouldn't be that hard.

The electrical connections are neutral to the grounded conductor and one line to one leg and another line to the other leg with the 3rd phase isolated. Since the configuration of 3 phase generators may vary it is best to have a qualified professional electrician who has experience with them do the work. Some generators are Y configuration but others are a delta configuration with a tapped neutral. This will result in 1 high leg voltage which will damage electrical equipment. Q:I am trying to find the value on a generator we’re trying to sell which is becoming a real headache since the thing was made in China. All I know about it is it was made by Shanghai Tractor and Internal Combustion Engine Corp and it’s a 20kw diesel generator. It’s about 5 years old but has only been used once since we purchased it. How would I go about finding the value for this generator? I need to have it sold as soon as possible.
Companies like China Star have become famous for diesel generators, so being from China is not a negative. Just look up any US made generator and reduce by about %30 to get value. I think a US generator of that size, which is sufficient for a whole house, should run about $2500. So as used slightly, I would start around $1800 I think. But you may have to come down to $1000 if the market happens to be slow. Check on Craigslist to compare. I am only guessing off the top of my head. It is contractors who buy them the most, and few people are building right now.

I'm not an expert on this, but I'll give it my best guess. To try to point you in the right direction. First, you need to know the torque of this magnet. 1 horse power 0.74569 kilowatts So to get a 1 kilowatts, you need 1.35962 horsepower. The motor will have a certain efficiency. I do not know if this is factored in to the motors power rating, however if the efficiency is, say, 90%. Then you will need to divide the horse power by 0.9 to get the correct horse power rating. Is this a motor part of a diesel / fuel generator, or is it part of a wind turbine / water turbine?
