Q:What is a general expression for floor, carpet and tile?
Flooring materials
Q:How to fix a water damaged sub floor?
The only way to fix a water damaged sub floor is to replace it. Sub floors act just like a sponge sucking up water. once that moisture is in will never dry out.
Q:How expensive to replace floor joists?
Call and ask a foundation repair company.
Q:need to konw how floor from a 88 bayliner?
As a footnote: All total, you are probably looking at a $600 to $800.00 do it yourself repair job here. And that's is assuming nothing else needs replacing. (as general, when the floor is gone - the stringers have too - and then you are really into some major work and repair. So, careful thought should be given as to whether your 88 Bayliner is worth the expense and risk of this DIY repair. I mention that, only because, while I have no idea the condition of the rest of your boat or its motor - my 40 plus years of boatbuilding experience tells me - your boat is most likely not worth this repair. Especially since you have never done it before, and have no clue as to what else might be wrong with the floor, sub-floor, hull, or stringers. . .
Q:Contiental Drift as it evolved into Sea-Floor Spreading?
right here... i guess this might stump u... if we developed from monkeys... why do little ones come out like people... not monkeys... or why are there nevertheless monkeys... and the only resemblance is the palms and ft ( even there theirs are plenty hairier)
Q:Tile On Countertops & Floors?
It's true that solid surface would be best; however, you can use a granite tile at a much lower cost than a slab. Use dark grout and seal it properly to avoid the problems the other person mentioned. As far as color is concerned; I think I might want the floor a little lighter than the counter tops - to make them pop. Same color family, just slightly different tones or textures. Also, if you don't have a lot of counters, you can ask for a discounted granite slab; most granite places have leftovers. Make sure you have some warm color lighting or accessories to spice up your look; like oranges or reds.
Q:how to take the vinyl floor out.?
how old is the flooring? if it's from the 1970's, it could contain asbestos, so you want to be sure before you go too far and create bigger problems for yourself. you might be better off just burying it under the new flooring, if it's not all cracked or torn. if it is in bad shape, then you can put down plywood sheeting called underlayment, it's smooth faced and resists water damage. this underlayment plywood is only about 5/16-3/8 thick, so even with new vinyl sheet or tiles it won't build the floor up too much. some people use luan plywood, but it doesn't stand up to water very well, so i wouldn't use it in a kitchen or bathroom. if you put plywood down, screw the sheets every 6 around the edges, and every 8 throughout the middle of the sheet so it lays flat. buy or rent a drywall screw gun to do this, you can set the depth that it drives the screws deep enough without going too deep. after it's all down, go over all of the screw heads and the seams with levelastic cement so the plywood subflooring is smooth and flat. this is important because otherwise all of these defects will show through the new vinyl flooring. it's a lot of work to do it correctly and get a good job, but easier that pulling up the old stuff, or messing with asbestos. you can usually find pamphlets at the home centers on how to do this, or check out the instructions in a new box of tiles. good luck, hope this helps.
Q:What is the number of revolutions to strengthen the composite floor?
Floor speed is generally 6000-9000 turn. My home is a composite floor of the friends, I think now is a trend with the floor, natural, honest, looks elegant and innocent, the last time I bought that home is peace of mind, I study for a long time, but also to the brand site to buy I also listed some of the better composite flooring brands such as peace of mind, the Yangtze, blessing floor, Gloria, Bayer floor, Chun Chau Oude , The holy card, Bei Yake workers fool escape uncle 墚 moth scorpion valve Mang, the elephant, Xin resistant, and so on, and finally I chose to feel at ease, for many reasons.
Q:How to clean a laminate floor?
Hi, I just use warm water and vinegar 1 cup to a gallon. It works well and I prefer something that is natural. I just use a mop that is well wrung out. You do not want to over wet floors. I sometimes buff up with a towel attached to my swifter. Soap-based products and citrus based products leave a residue on laminate making them look dull. It may take a few washings to get rid of the film. It is good to use warm water as it evaporates more quickly.
Q:Pregnant on the 3rd floor?
I lived in a third floor apartment through my second pregnancy and everything turned out fine with my baby! Just make sure you don't carry heavy loads up the stairs and be careful when walking up and down the stairs as not to fall. Also, if you're going to be preg in the summertime invest in an air conditioner!
