- Q:I have a receiver that has 100 watt max output per channel. Currently, all outputs except for 1 are being used. I have 2 small speakers that I want to power that are 50 watts max each. What would happen if I connected the two speakers to the 1 output on the receiver? Also, the receiver allows you to adjust the volume of each speaker so if needed I can turn down the volume to just those two speakers. Any ideas or input? Thanks
- There are 2 ways to wire your speaker parallel or series. To wire them parallel you take both neg. from the speakers and connect to the receiver neg, and both pos. from the speakers to the receiver pos. To wire them in series (I suggest this way but use what sounds better) wire from receiver neg to speaker A neg, speaker A pos to speaker B neg, speaker B pos to receiver pos. You can adjust the sound level with either wiring method if your receiver is capable

- If they are powered cpu speakers usualy get a boost from the subwoofer they are plugged into if they simply plug into the back of your cpu then they probly are not powered
- Q:i am thinking about amping my back two speakers and i was wondering if i would get more power to the front speakers from an aftermarket head unit since the rear speakers arent connected to the head units wires.
- If ur get a after market head unit more than likely your front speakers will be louder but so will your rear speakers you'll have to compensate for the power difference of the head unit and make the corrections for the speakers as well I have all four door speakers amped nothin is going off my head unit beside my tweeters and it's loud as hell so just make the proper adjustments to the head unit and equal out the power by fading to the front or rear and it'll sound great any more questions hit me up
- Q:Every time i listen to music or watch a video on my computer, the speakers will suddenly make a loud noise and cut out any other audio. Its hard to explain the sound it makes but it sounds kind of like a choppy horn going. It only lasts for a split second, but no matter what i do, how loud it is, it will keep doing this, around every 10 seconds or so. I know for a fact that it is not because of the speakers.(it happend with my last ones too) Also, im not sure if this is the same problem or not, but i cant watch any videos using Windows Media Player. It will show the video but it will be all lines through it and distorted. Any help on fixing my problem would be great. Thanks.
- Buy new speakers. or in the bottom right corner of your computer click the picture of a speaker and ajust it you could have just blew your speaker
- Q:I just got a *BRAND NEW* set of speakers.Yet, my sound is really bad.I know its not the speakers, and i have updated my sound drivers as well.Any hints?
- Have you tried connecting the *BRAND NEW* speakers to another computer to see if they sound ok? Just because they're new doesn't guarantee that they'll sound good. Remember, you get what you pay for and if they were cheap, they'll sound cheap.
- Q:I have a pair of nice cabinet speakers hooked up to my old TV, and am wondering if they'll work with my new TV.My new TV is the Samsung PN50A450, but the speakers are older and have the red / black wire connections instead of the newer Red / White RCA cables. - THE SPEAKER SIZE THAT WILL FIT ON THE FRONT AND BACK DOORS AND REAR DECK IS 6 1/2. YOU PROBABLY WON'T NEED ANY BRACKETS SINCE MOST SPEAKERS COME WITH EXTRA TABS TO SCREW THEM IN. YOU COULD BUY A SPEAKER WIRE HARNESS FOR ABOUT $10 FOR THE PAIR WHEN CONNECTS STRAIGHT TO YOUR OLD SPEAKER WIRE OR YOU COULD CUT THE OLD SPEAKER WIRE HARNESS OFF AND BUY SOME WIRE ENDS AND CONNECT IT STRAIGHT TO THE SPEAKERS.

- wattage comes in two flavors Peak-to-peek and RMS. A speaker is rated in OHMS. A 2 ohm speaker that is driven by a 50 watt amp - will be MUCH LOUDER than an 8 ohm speaker, driven by that same amp. You actually can damage a speaker with an UNDER-POWERED amp as well what happens is the AMP can't keep up with the power demand so it DUMPS all it's wattage in spurts which can damage your VOICE COIL(S). A sub-woofer is a speaker or set of speakers which has a very low FREQUENCY BAND. they often require more WATTAGE to provide the same output when compared to BASS speakers or MID-RANGE speakers.
