Limited Product Warranty
Under normal application, installation, use and service conditions, if MODULES fail to conform to this limited product warranty due to defects in material or workmanship, then for a period ending 12 years from date of sale as shown in the invoice or Contract issued by CNBM SOLAR. CNBM SOLAR will, at its option, either repair or replace or refund the purchase price as paid by the client for these defective MODULES. The repair or replacement or refund remedy shall be the sole and exclusive remedy provided under the “Limited Product Warranty” and shall not extend beyond the 12 years period set forth herein. It will be performed directly to the direct client only. This “Limited Product Warranty” does not warrant a specific power output, which shall be exclusively covered under “Limited Peak Power Warranty” as follows.

- I am afraid you are in for some disapointment. A typical solar panel might put out something over 00 watts, and cost a pretty big bundle. Then, what would you do with the power? It will be low voltage DC. You could charge a battery, or run a DC appliance. You would get less than ten cents worth of electricity per day. If you wanted to use it for household appliances, you would need an inverter. More big bucks. Type solar panels in the green search box at the top of this page, and read previous Q A. - It depends on what you mean by amount of electricity. Normally that would mean the total energy produced over a given period. In that case, the main factors are ) Efficiency of the solar cells 2) Total irradiation received: incident radiation density times the solar panel area, and the angle of the incident radiation. Item ) is determined by the materials and method of construction of the solar cells Item 2) depends on the location of the panel, both on earth's surface (latitude), time of year, and how the panel is oriented with respect to the horizontal. Altitude of the location can also be a factor. Prevailing weather conditions, number of cloudy days, etc. are important. Independent of these parameters, larger area means more electricity.

- Solar panels can generate electricity even with small amounts of sunlight, but they work most efficiently with direct sunlight. Generally, they can still produce energy on cloudy or overcast days, although at a reduced capacity.

- The answer is yes. Where it used to cost around $0 per watt you can now buy a system installed for half of that. Panels are more powerful, technology is better so once again the answer is yes. In addition a lot of power companies are offering net metering programs (that is where you sell your extra power back to them for credit). It's like putting power in the bank during peak solar days to use when the sun doesn't shine. You stay hooked up to the grid and when you're making more than you're using your meter spins backwards.

There is no direct solar panel with built in charge converters that I know of because, when purchasing panels, you must purchase the wattage requirements of the job (this can be several panels linked), and a charge converter that will handle the <? panels required. A chain of stores up here in Canada have a portable battery pack that has a solar panel to increase its charge capacity or duration, but its not something you would want to lug around for long periods of time, because is weights in about 3 lbs.

- Solar in Chicago is not much help, you would need at least 3kwh for whatever size unit you have, (3 tons is meaningless in this context!) You would not get enough sun even in the summer to operate for more thn 6 hours a day. For Chicago you probably need a wind generator, or go for a heat pump.
