FAQ

Hi there,i have been using a barbell bench press for my decline press and nearly every gym session i seem to stack the weights up and up. however when i use the smith machine for flat bench press it seems that it takes me a very long time to gain more weight.Which machine will get me better results and weight gains?ThanksP.S Is there any difference between the way the two machines work the chest?(The smith machine is a machine and barbell bench press is free hand)
Always, ALWAYS go regular free weight bench press. Free weights are the most effective because the movements are not controlled...they are not as safe as machines per se, but what's a spotter for eh? I bench 185lbs (barbell) right now. If I were to use a Smith machine, I could probably do 225lbs due to the extra support. Decline bench pressing seems to be easier than incline for some reason. My favorite has and always will be the regular flat bench press, but I do understand what you mean by decline feeling easy. The standard, flat bench press is the #1 upper body exercise though.
i am 13 years old , 102 pounds, does squatting excercise the upper body?is squatting better than leg pressing?if squatting works the upper body should i do it because i work the upper body on other days?will squatting or leg pressing make me stronger in my legsi have never squattedi leg press 150 pounds 12 repsplease don't tell me i'm to young to weight lifti want to know which excercise makes my legs strongerdoes leg pressing work the hamstrings as a major muscle and what muscles do both of the excersises work?
The squat is an excellent exercise, but I would always recommend the leg press or hack squat for their safty. I use the hack squat myself, never try to squat without a spotter.
I thought that hold means press !! what is the correct meaningplaystation 3
To hold a key means you press it and do not release it. If it says hold L2 and press X for example, press down the L2 button and while it's still pressed down, press X.
Does the quality of a French Press matter a lot? Would buying a 50$ press from Williams-Sonoma be much better than the 15$ one from Canadian Tire?
Not really. Most work pretty well. That said, I do recommend The stainless steel vacuum insulated ones, if for no other reason, than that they are unbreakable.

I'am new in SEO, I know techniques like directory submissions, social bookmarking but I'am not sure about the effectiveness of press release submission. Please help me out.
A okorder / This link doesn't belong to me, but I have mentioned it here as as source of information
So, I went to my high school's weight room after track practice to try the leg press for the first time today. I am 15 years old, I am a freshman in high school, I am about 5' 7 and weigh 215 pounds. I tried to leg press today and the most I could do was 610 pounds. Because I haven't ever done the leg press (or any leg weight training ever) is this a good max? Knowledgeable and constructive answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
don't confuse the leg press and squat. the leg press is usually an incline system and the squat is a vertical system. so if you go to do squats don't weigh down the rack. i remember a guy did that back in high school. think he almost killed himself. anyways, is it good? yeah pretty good. if you keep at it you will see that number go up. if your wanting to know why though, best guess i can provide is the fact your legs are used to balancing 215 lbs on any given day with ease. that would be considered a light load to the muscles. being athletic helps too. so you should of been able to do about 220 no problem. as you add weight you muscles will work harder. you made it up to 610. a difference of 390 lbs
