Recently, the home of the house to be renovated, people say that the floor is very important, but they do not want to use what floor, want to listen to the views of everyone
To strengthen the floor -- a bad, no regrets. Laminate flooring is the cheapest, although its high-end products are also very expensive, said that if your unit price of 100, you can only choose her (or?) The. The floor color is rich and beautiful, who can find their love color patterns, health or do her, just as a tile, but I think the environmental protection almost, maybe I will never forget the scene not to buy a computer desk in the furniture factory to see, in addition to the floor surface is a layer of wear-resistant layer, the bottom surface is moistureproof layer, the middle is density board, density board is made of wood dregs, which has also used rubber, rubber paving, and as we all know, is the most environmentally friendly glue, and if the time is long, the surface of the layer of wear resistant layer without the floor is rubbish, hundred-percent, I have seen no wear-resisting layer, really miserable, with the apple of Sodom is not too much to describe
Want to decorate the home, I heard that the solid wood floor care convenience, composite floor to play regular wax like. But it is said that the solid wood floor for a long time there will be a gap, and step up will quack creak. Want to know this is not the case, by the way, I recommend what to buy the floor of the brand, thank you ~ ~ ~
If it is for the sake of health, use solid wood flooringAs for what to do, regardless of solid wood or composite floor, it is necessary to wax once a half year. In order to protect the floor well. If the wax hit too often or too little, are not good for the floor
I am building a new house, and I have two large dogs. The house is a $200k smaller home with very nice appliances, granite counter tops, etc. Anyways, I have two large dogs who have scratched up the hardwood(not terribly) in my condo, so I am thinking about putting in the engineered flooring. I have been to lumber wholesalers, and it isn't really much cheaper than hardwood, but it is my understanding that it is much more durable. It seems to look and feel like hardwood, and I have heard that the engineered floors have come a long way, but I'm paranoid that it's going to look cheap. Would putting in the engineered flooring be a mistake?
Engineered flooring ERK. Sorry, but it makes me so uneasy that I feel nauseous. At least, with Hardwood, if it needs sanding or refinishing you can do it multiple times which you just can't with a laminated product. I've just seen an engineered floor that was put in last year that has lifted in places during some humid weather ...kind looks like it's billowing. It's just a personal opinion but if you have real wooden floors you should cherish them and all their faults ....mmmmm Wood
if laying a new wooden floor on top of existing old floor boards, which is best, engineered wood or solid wood.
If the sub floor is flat and smooth, it doesn t make a bit of difference. Best to have it very flat to start with but solid hard wood is a bit more forgiving over minor imperfections. If your doing this project yourself, engineered wood is easier to work with.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL

Cork floor is mainly pine and fir (hemlock, cedar, Keteleeria etc.) production. Cork floors are warm and elastic. But the poor wear resistance. If dry enough, more easily deformed, dry.
Surely it is subject to the same expansion and contraction associated with laminate and engineered flooring? Also, can an underlay be used with solid tongue and groove flooring if it is nailed? It would help with sound insulation.
hardwood has been done a certain way for hundreds of years because thats the system that works engineered and laminate floors are different not only in composition but design and need a different installation technique if you want to add soundproofing there are commercially manufactured materials already on the market but mostly they block impact noise
I've looked at Armstrong, Bruce, Mannington, BuildDirect, and Lumber Liquidators. I'm looking for something light-medium, not too golden. I want to pair it with black cabinets for a Kitchen project.
I assume you mean random lengths not widths. Most engineered wood come in one length but not all. Mohawk has a couple of lines that carry 1' 2' 3' and 4' boards and in engineered wood that is considered random lengths. To get varying widths you have to mixed boxes , from the same manufacturer to do different widths. Just to get the consistency of engineered wood the length have to be some what standard. Originally I was told engineered is better. More stable. Less likely to warp. Because it is superior and harder to make it is more expensive.Today, my contractor said I should use solid wood.So far I learned that engineered wood contains formaldihide. Also, that one supplier won't sell engineered wood.Would love to know if I was sold a bill of goods early on.Alternatively, want to make sure I buy the right product.
