Carbon / aluminum bike frames snapping ?My front forks sheered off - causing me to crash and break my clavicle. The bikes was not v oldAnyone else suffered this.I've now gone back to steel forks with a threaded headset. As the bike was A-Head, when the fork steerer snapped off, everything 'let go'.Not good - Not many steel frame makers left that use threaded headsets - I'm now afraid to ride a bike with Carbon or aluminium forks now- ditto A-Head forks. Thanks,

I have a stainless steel patio heater that the pilot will not stay on what component from the whole system makes the pilot stay on, I've already disassemble the whole thing and blew air throughout everything, and it turned on and then when I shut if off to restart it, the pilot light did not want to stay ON, it will light but it will not stay on.don't know what to do now.
There is a thermocouple on the heaterIt is a round aluminum probe that the pilot light heats upThe sensor in the probe then allows the gas to enter the combustion chamberThe thermocouple looks like a small tube about the size of a pencil and is only a couple of inches long-it has a flexible wire tube on the end that screws into the gas valveCheck your gas supply and make sure the gas valve is onMost times you need to turn the gas valve to the pilot position then press down and hold while you light the pilot light - wait 60 seconds while holding the red button down then turn valve immediately to on position.
It's time for a new bike and I don't know enough about the pros and cons of aluminum vscarbon fiberI can get a low-end carbon bike or a high-end aluminum for about the same price, so the budget is not really a major issueAny opinions would be appreciated.
I was broken into about six months ago, and the first thing we did when we got home was check the silver ware, and valuablesI was scared, and my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chestI was creped out that someone had been in my house. When we found for the most part, what all had been taken, we called the cops, and everything was a blur, the police's faces were straight and intimidating, and they asked questions that we didn't know the answer toMy family and I were in shock for about a half hour while the photographed the hole houseI couldn't even say anythingThey found a footprint upstairs and they had to transfer it onto this fancy paper, and wrote up a reportThe police said we probably wouldn't get any of the jewelry that was stolen backMy dad was mostly mad at himself because we didn't have insurance for the jewelry that was taken, but my mom said that it was just jewelry, and tried to hide the fact that she was upsetIt all happens really fast when you discover that somebody took somethingyour knees get wobbly, and your stomach week, and while the police ask you questions, you are still trying to process everything in your mind.

Please help meIs it possible if I don't use lards and cookie sheets?
You can bake cookies on anythingThe reason that sheet pans are recommended is that they have a flat open surface which allows the heat to swirl around the cookie getting it a little more evenly done as opposed to, say, trying to bake it in a bowlA sheet pan also allows for expansion as the cookies flatten out during the cooking processIf you do not have a sheet pan then you could use an oven-safe frying pan and cook a few cookies at a timeOr, of course, ad lib with other itemsAnd, as suggested above, you can lay out some aluminum foil on one of the oven racks and cook them on that.

I want to know what would really happen if a plane like the fictitious and infamous flight 815 crashed on a fictitious island on LOST.It broke in two in midairThe tail went in the water and 23 survivedOne passenger was caught in a treeThe mid section crashed on the beachOnly one ended up in the jungle, dialated pupilsBarely a scratch46 survived. The cockpit(front of the plane) ended up miles away into the jungleOnly one survivor. Now I know that wouldn't have happened in real lifeBut I want you to tell me what would happen in real life if a plane broke apart in mid-air.Thanks and happy holidays!
When a plane breaks apart in mid air, the passengers have no chance of survivalThose who are not sucked out through the gaps in the fuselage are strapped in a thin-walled aluminum tube that is no longer flying, but simply fallingWhat would happen to you if you were strapped into your car and it fell off a 10-story building? That's right, you would dieYou have less protection in an airplane fuselage that is fallingNow instead of falling 100 feet, you are falling thousands of feet! Airplane crashes are very survivable, but not when the plane breaks apart in the airSorryYou are dead.
I have 3 little plants in my fish tank. They didn't have that metal thing at the pet store that weighs them down and holds them together so my goldfish keep nibbling on them and pulling them up out of the gravel. Can I put pliable aluminum around my plants?
Get some large round rocks, the smooth kind I think they are called 'river rocks' or something and you can arrange them around the plants bottom that it kind of pinches it in. You might have to mess with it a bit to get it right. I hope this helps =]
