Q:somehow i clicked on some link while viewing for the offers and issues....thou i didnt give my card details for the payment they have sent me a bill for 22$ which should be payable up oin receipt.how can i cancel the subscription with out payment...my first issue will be in very soon it seems...
I agree with JoanH, write cancel on the bill and send it back. Many magazines offer a trial subscription with the first issue free and instruct you to do just what Joan suggested if you don't like the magazine. Once you are a subscriber and then want to cancel is sometimes a lot harder. Try the e-mail thing to cancel if writing on the bill doesn't work. And believe me, if you don't pay, they won't send the magazine for long.
Q:Single mom with 12 year old son and very limited funds. Last home was leased from people who didn't pay the mortgage with our rent and home was foreclosed. currently on Intracoastal home with no A/C. home is over 100 degrees.Owner will not fix and code enforcement has visited. Bad house. We need help please. Used property management company who didn't check for foreclosure issues. We are on limited time. Is there a website for home owners dealing directly with tenants where the move in monies are not extreme????
You can use the map on the right side to find rentals in a specific area, and you can get the owners' contact info through that web site. Hope this helps...good luck!
Q:i really enjoy getting off of work and going straight to my garden.nothing like home grown veggies.
I once had a nice veggie garden when I lived in Arizona, and it did really good, until the day I got home from work and in that 9 or 10 hours the ^%$*# grasshoppers literally came from nowhere and ate it down to the stalks. :-( This year here in Florida I put a couple of tomato plants in a small cut off plastic barrel, but they didn't do so well. (They were called Talladega tomatoes and I just had to give it a try!) I got 2 tomatoes and that was it. My husband calls all the plants I bring home victims.
Q:I have seen these plastic grow bags online. I was wondering if Home Depot, Menards, Farm and Fleet or some store like that would sell them? I don't have any special gardening stores by me but was wondering if anyone knew if a normal chain store or wallmart or something might sell them?
I have not seen them at these stores. I just ordered one.
Q:i want statues, water fountains and maybe some indoor figurines any body got any suggestions
i okorder i know its a good one because its mine check it out and leave me a contact message
Q:Some of my friends and I would like to start a small garden in our backyard. We live in California in the Bay Area, just for extra reference. We'd like to know this:1.) How do we get started?2.) What are some of the easiest vegetables and fruits to plant? (we were thinking lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, or maybe some herbs like thyme or sage)3.) Should we know something about seasons/time of year to plant?4.) How would be then maintain our garden?I'll give BEST ANSWER to the person who answer all these questions in a bit of detail.THANK YOU GUYS/GALS IN ADVANCE!
First off find your gardening zone. Second lettuce is a cool plant, plant early in spring, strawberries the same - but cover them from the birds. tomatoes plant in early June - lots of water and sun - they are water hogs by the way...thyme and sage are great for containers,so is basil and prsley. You must water them every day tho'. You live in a zone 9 I live in a zone 5. Your growing seson is much longer. Check out National Home Garden Club for zones and tips or just search Plant hardiness zone in yahoo or google for a specific area. I hope this helps you and your friends.
Q:Do you think that Garden Offices like Outbuilds are a good solution for home workers ??...Does any work in a garden office, does is seperate your personal from work life ?
no, they look very small....just separate one room in your home and make it your business...get dressed for work, and close the doors...only allow interruptions if necessary.
Q:I am contemplating buying a home in this town. It has a fair amount of land, and I would like to know what fruits and or veggies will thrive?
Are you near the river or up a bit to the west? The reason I ask is cold air settles down near the river putting you a little closer to zone 6 than zone 7 the rest of the area is. What you can grow is darn near everything! The limiting factor is water! If you are right against the river, your soil may be so highly alkaline from the underground water table so near the surface, nothing will grow. If you are in sand soil, your plants will be needing near constant watering. Soils range from sand to clay depending on location. Each has its benefits and problems. OK, back to plants: fruits: trees...apricots and sweet cherries are iffy near the river where late spring frosts usually destroy the blooms or very young fruit. You'd have excellent luck with apples, pears, sour cherries, blue plums and somewhat less results, but not impossible with peaches and nectarines. Grapes do very well as do raspberries/blackberries. Of course no blueberries, the soil is way, way to alkaline and can not be adjusted enough to grow the blue yummies. Strawberries are tough due to the hot summers, but not impossible. Nuts: pecans are growing at the Experiment Station just south of the prison. Normally the area is too cold for pecans. Veggies.......just about everything. Realize we can warm up very quickly so delay in pea and other cool season planting may have them ripeing when temps are 90 plus. The other concern is the wind. Spring winds have destroyed many of my early spring plantings......sand blasted. If you can protect them, great. The area is well known for growing chile peppers.......usually family farms. Most chiles are grown further south or now in Mexico. About the only veggie I couldn't get going was asparagus ( which is embarrasing because there was an asparagus farm must a quarter mile away and about 40 years ago) and my rhubarb just won't work for me.
Q:we tried ours today at grandparents house.. they have the hgtv... and nothing worked... (works fine at home) any ideas?
HG? As in Mercury? Or Home Gardens? Or do you mean HDTV? If the TV has a yellow RCA jack on the back (for composite video cables), you use the cable that came with for a standard-definition (480i) signal. The Wii is capable of enhanced-definition, progressive scan video (480p), and that requires a component video cable (where the video signal is split over 3 RCA cables - usually colored red, blue, and green). Most HDTVs have component video jacks on the back. Usually you have select what input jack you want to use on the TV.
Q:My city is experiencing Stage 2 water restrictions. Could you please explain the following?1. What the Aquifer level has to be for each stage to take affect.2. What each stage-limit entails.3. Do restrictions differ from state-to-state? 4. Is it a necessity to water your yard, other than it looking nice? Does it mess with foundation(or whatever)?5. How many stages are there?6. Can the aquifer run completely out of water? What would you do then? P.S: I posted this in HomeGarden, 1 person answered, not much info...didn't know where else to post. sorry...
I answered your other question (in HomeGarden), but thought that you might be interested in a recent news article as well. Althought the Bush Administration is reporting $800 million to help drought stricken farmers, this is money already earmarked for such projects and does nothing to help the individual families in these same areas.
