Q: I have this wild idea of powering a window unit from a battery bank. not 100% about how i would charge the batteries but just a crazy idea. Any suggestions on how i might be able to do it?: Air conditioning compressors are poor candidates for battery power as they take a huge amount of amperage to start. Like the other person said, there is nothing to be gained from this unless the batteries are charged from something other than A/C power.
