- Q: i need to transfer data between 2 laptops (windows 7). I got to know that network cable can do it. What is the procedure. What cable should i buy? Please say it simply coz i dnt knw anything abt netwrking.
- To directly link the two together with just a cable, you need a special ethernet cable called a crossover, these can be bought from amazon really cheap. Plug one end into each computer, then on each you need to share the drives. So right click a drive letter and select share this drive, once done you can explorer to each and copy the files.

- No, if you got a disk with the phone u should install that first. And it should guide you from there. If u haven't got a disc, u MAY be able to do it this way: Connect the phone to the PC. If uve got a memory card in the phone, when you go into My Computer it should give you two new connected icons (i.e. ur phone and memory card) If you want to put songs on the memory card, double click the memory card's icon to go into it. And then there should be a folder which says MSCC or something like that (i'm goin off my memory here so i cant remember precisely) Go into media files And then there should be a folder which says themes so go into there and drag and drop the themes u want into that folder. Im not too sure what comes up if ur wanting to save it on ur phone's memory so i cant help ya there unless you give me the options it gives ya. If theres something i said wrong or you cant find the file then just email me back n tell me what it says. Hope it helps though :)

- Only way to xfer information is via a xfer cable. Sorry bud. Edit: the unknown profile is likely save game data that doesn't have the corresponding gamertag profile active on the memory unit. If your gamertag profile is active on memory unit, then don't worry about the save game data is it is likely not yours(if you have people play on your xbox before that created a new profile)
- Q: I have searched and searched. Best Buy, Target and Circuit City dont have it. JVC's website was no help either. The cable is weird, itis not shaped like most 6 pin usb cables. It has black plastic on the ends. Normal 6pin's wont fit in it. The cable it came with was gray, but Im pretty sure I accidently threw it away. Thanks!

- As long as the RS-422 cable is twisted pair, I don't see any chance of interference between cables. The RS-422 line is terminated with a resistor of the same impedance as the twisted pair wires, further insuring the wires don't act like an antenna. I have used RS-422 over a mile without noise pick up in standard telephone cable. Do pay attention to isolating the 422 receiver IC from ground, because inside the IC there are paths to local ground. If there is a difference of over a few volts between the driver ground and receiver ground, one of the the ICs will blow up. The distance has nothing to do with the ground potential differences.

- Q: Hey, I'm trying to get images from a motorola v3i phone, but when i connect the phone to the computer via a data cable, the images don't appear where they're supposed to be. - Okay lets see There are many ways and I will explain each one by one. The first is by connecting your phone to the PC via a USB Data cable and synchronizing it using the Nokia PC Suite. Since it's an E 51 it should work like a charm. The second method is if your phone has an expandable memory card then you can just use a card reader and simply copy and paste your files on the Memory card. And another unorthodox method is by sending your files using a bluetooth connection. That is considering that your PC has bluetooth. Well I hope that answers your question
- Q: I have a cricket wireless modem, it works fine except inside my home. the reception (even on cell phones) is terrible. I tried using a data cable in a window and it worked great for about a week, then it started turning on and off 3-4 times a second cricket gave me a short data cable and it works,but when I add another(a new one) it does the on/off thing. how can I get the longer cable (with or without the cricket one )to work? I'd really like to be able to move out of the corner where the short cable reaches a window.
- how long is the cable your using. There are limits on the length a data cable can be depending on what type of data port it is. this applies to all types of cables and cords that transfer data for instance a LAN cat5 Ethernet cable in most cases without giving the boring details can reach up to 100 feet (a usb is much different)
