Q: I had my scaffold done on friday, and it's still very sore and swollen. I've been cleaning it with savlon and have been careful with it x: You should be using non ionised sea salt dissolved in warm to hot water twice a day to clean the piercing, not savlon (which is to harsh for piercings and will dry out the skin). If the piercing keeps getting caught then it is going to swell and be painful, the area has been through trauma so will be very sensitive. Although swelling at this early stage is still normal and to be expected.

Q: I know it's soon, but my piercings swollen and quite sore when knocked slightly.I've only had it three or four days, but there's a swollen round lump right next to one pierced hole and I was worried it could be an early sign of a keloid. Don't change it yet, I assure you, you will regret it. Just be patient, keep on cleaning, cleaning, salt-soaking.
