Q:I got my scaffold piercing 6 days ago, with titanium, and it was fine until yesterday.I had a couple of nights out and might have knocked it a few times, but yesterday it was swollen, red, throbbing and very painful. There is no liquid coming from it. It seems to have got worse today.I have been following the aftercare advice and cleaning it several times a day with rock salt solution and (up until yesterday) savlon antiseptic spray. Is it just irritated or is it infected? How long should I wait before I go to the doctor? If it is infected, will I have to take it out or just take antibiotics?Thanks!

it sounds like it's just irritated, if it's infected it will be secreting puss. Have you tried to soak it in the rock salt solution? Soak two cotton balls and put one on each side on the piercing and keep it there for 10 minutes a day. And make sure the antiseptic spray has zero alcohol in it because that can irritate it and prolong healing. Try this for a few days and if it's not getting better then go see your doctor.

I wouldn't do that... it looks pretty trashy to me... just have the regular cartilege piercing

Q:i was thinking of having it done. google it if you don't know what it looks like. but i can't handle pain too well, and as i've seen on youtube, its not nice lmfao, i know pain varies from person to person, but any ideas on how to like take your mind off it? im quite young and this is my first major piercing, i only have my lobes done twice;), and does anyone know a good place to find nice barbells once it's healed:)? thanks:)!aaand do you think this is a nice piece to put in once its healed?

I okorder for barbells. They have some pretty epic lightnight bolt ones and zigzags and they are like 3 bucks!!!! You can never find them in the mall like that :P lol. Anyway, i deff. think you should get the piercing. It's worth the pain. It'll be over in 2 seconds lol. Good luck :D

Q:Salt doesn't really make any different when cleaning infact I think it makes more dried skin to get stick on the bar. My side piercing is fine but the one closest to my eye is painful when pushed or touched I think this is because I accidentally sleep on it without realising. It's red but it has no lump around the piercing is it infected or is it just trying to heal?
