Q:how much watts can a x2 inch solar panel make?
this type of solar panel has some few watts. Ah is a quantity (which represent energy) that define the flow of ampere for a period of hour. so, the max instant electric current is 40mA and the max power is 40mA x 3.6 = 0.44 watts but, this value depends of the solar ilumination which the panel is subjected.
Q:Is getting solar panels worth it for your home?
It depends upon how you look at things. If you are looking for a decent return on investment, or a business decision, it is probably very unwise. In most cases people would see a far better return in upgrading insulation in ceilings, walls, and windows to much better insulation than they currently have, followed by proper resizing heating and air conditioning to smaller unit size to fit their lesser need as a result of the insulation. The heat an air conditioning units should be the highest efficiency available. The return on the above can make a positive and economic investment in many cases. If you have done the above first, and have money to spend and do not care about the return on it, then you can play with solar or wind. However, typical cost of generation of solar and wind energy is about $0.22 / KWH and you can purchase from utility at about $0.0/ KWH including generation and distribution so this is not all that prudent.
Q:Solar Panels, anyone?
You can attempt to install your own solar panels...just do the homework first! I suggest looking at ways to decrease your overall energy consumption first even if installing solar panels. Doing this will save on the amount of panels you need. Have included a reference that may be of use to you.
Q:Need Solar Panel Guru.....?
I'm inferring that your goal is to save money. You're on the right track with your energy star appliances - saving energy is far better than installing solar panels to cover energy that will be wasted. You may have an opportunity with solar hot water - you would need a large storage tank with 3 people, but that would be the best use of your roof in my opinion. Check with a professional installer, it may make financial sense. Although you could make your own heating panels, it's hard to make a solution as durable as commercial panels. And if freezing is an issue in your area, you would have to drain a homemade system in the winter. With an evacuated tube commercial system, you could keep running right through the winter. In the summer, instead of running those expensive air conditioners, could you just have a cool room in the basement? Anyone who wanted privacy could still go to their regular room and run fans. We have no A/C in our house, and manage, even on those 00+ days. Sounds like awnings or other window coverings might be a big help for you, at least until you can get some deciduous trees in to shade the house in summer. I would advise against making your own solar electric panels. They would not save money over the long term. And check panel prices - they have dropped 50% this year, according to a recent Newsweek article.
Q:Infra-red solar panels?
No night vision takes star light and intensifies it by 30,000 times.
Q:how many solar panels?
If he lives in a sunny area, he should contact a local solar installer about getting a grid-tied solar system to offset his electric bill. It's not necessary to supply all the electricity from solar. The system will work seamlessly right alongside grid electricity, and your father can choose whether to supply 20% of the electricity or 99% by sizing the system appropriately.
Q:solar panel questions.....................?
No don't do that unless you want a fire or worse electricution . DO NOT PLUG INTO THE WALL . st solar panel 2nd regulator 3rd 2 volt battery 4th inverter . The inverter should have 0 volt terminals that look like the plug on the wall . You would plug your TV or light into that the inverter . You would need an electrition to hook into your home electrical system . They will hook up a device made to tie into the grid or your meter that will make it run backwards but it takes alot of solar panels too do that . Please do not plug into wall .
Q:Does anyone know a good company to buy solar panels from?
Guide okorder.com/
Q:solar panel, dc light help?
You can't really judge the watts for solar lighting the same way you could for dc lighting. This is because of several factors The lights that you showed ARE NOT high quality lights and furthermore; they are not a well-known brand. Also, I would be suspicious of any store that offers lights for less than half of what other stores do. They are dumping the merchandise, which means it could have been sitting around for a while. MAXSA Innovations makes good solar lamps, so does Solar Goes Green. As the other responder wrote, you are better off using dedicated solar spot lights or floodlights than trying to integrate a solar panel into regular solar lights. A 00 Watt solar panel is pretty strong, and you also would need a battery. Unless you know how to rig up the system with appropriate controllers to make sure too much energy doesn't get into the rechargeable battery (lithium ion or NiMH), you take a risk on having the whole system fry out.
Q:How much maintenance do solar panels require?
