Product Description:

Reflective aluminum foil insulation  is an environment friendly product which has good sound absorption and insulation properties. The outer layer of PET provides excellent abrading and tears resistance. The middle layer of bubble shows strong ability in barrier of moisture and oxygen, reduction and insulation of sound. The middle layer also has the advantages like reflecting light and heat and stopping the penetration of ultraviolet radiation.

Q:once we have insulated our attic roof,is it ok to use plastic cladding over the top of the insulation,?
i think it might be able to pass code if you ever sell the house.i myself would use sheets of white wainscoting.also make sure the insulation if it has a paper backing ,paper faces the room.
Q:Is it a practice in the US to use board insulation as a retrofit under pitched roofing material?
Good question and I do not know the answers. For the fire issue, call your local fire department and chat them up. Then call your building inspector and talk with him. If he's been around awhile he may have seen it done before and have some information on how it has worked out or what are must do's.
Q:Interior roof insulation.?
Usually the floor of the attic is insulated unless you have cathedral ceilings. Then they have to insulate above the sloped ceiling and leave a little air space directly above the insulation that vents to perforated soffits and a ridge vent. You can also install foil faced plywood on the roof to improve energy performance.
Q:How best to insulate interior of attic roof?
You can avoid the condensation problem by simply leaving a minimum 2'' gap between the roof and the insulation. You need to fix battens on to the rafters ( at least 2'' from the tiles ) and then fix blanket or rigid insulation tight between them. The battens will maintain the air space. You then need to fix a vapour barrier over the whole thing and finish with plasterboard. No small job to do it properly ! ps you need to check the condition of the roof before you start and fix any loose tiles etc Alternatively, turn the heating up and wear a thicker sweater.
Q:Can I ask my landlord to put better insulation in the roof?
The roof (assume pitched) doesn't need insulating it's above the attic above the ceilings of all the rooms that need 12 inch of mineral wool insulation to stop heat loss (you may have less thickness not all insulation is to the correct standards) Also if as I suspect the walls of your home are timber with shiplap (and not solid brick / cavity walls) they also require insulation top up. From a google search there is state wide Government grants for insulating homes, could be available in your state? using blown insulation to walls/ceilings. If you decide to install it yourself the payback is excellent -in 12 months depending on fuel cost and what existing insulation (from your description minimal) The landlord could be entitled to increase your lease costs if he takes the work on as he has greatly improved the thermal insulation which will reduce your heating costs and make his property more valuable to lease.
Q:Is it worth to insulate the roof with styrofoam (thermocole)?
You want to insulate at the ceiling joist level, not at the roof-rafter level and provide ventilation for the remaining cavity. You also want to make sure you have the correct vapor barrier. But you do not want to insulate directly below and contacting the roof deck. One of the difficulties with rigid insulation is making it fit correctly and without gaps. So be careful of that. You may have to supplement the rigid sheets with foam spray at the gaps, around wires and pipes and so forth.
Q:Flat roof replacement,is bitumen used as flashing? What type of insulation is best when replacing a flat roof?
We use kingspan insulation, marine grade plyboard , 3/4 inch, and yes you can use bitumen as flashing. I hope i am not being condescending, but the flashing is the bit that goes from the roof and a little way up the wall and is then "pointed" into the bricks, thus forming a water-proof barrier.
Q:Metal roof condensation issue low budget? Spray-on insulation?
hope this helps. With more air movement there will not be so much condensation. it is a matter of having an inlet for air or a fan and then an outlet for air. There are small extractor fans i have one for my bathroom, but unsure of the cost.
Q:Is it good to get cavity wall / roof insulation in the summer?
Insulation works to keep a home cooler in summer as well as warmer in winter. And the warm months generally mean better conditions for the installation because of less potential moisture, which sometimes forms in uninsulated homes in the freezing cold, being trapped in ceiling and wall cavities. To have your ceiling insulation function properly, attic ventilation is required. This is approx. 1 sq. ft./ clear ventilation to 300 sq. ft. of attic space. More is better than less. You will find your home cooler. Insulation on its own does not change ventilation. This is an air/vapor barrier situation which also should be considered when insulating.
Q:why do icesicles form on the edge of my roof in the winter when my insulation value in my attic is at the...?
"R" I think stands for "Resistance" factor against heat loss. It resists the heat transfer but doesn't stop it. There is no such thing as perfect insulation. Snow itself is a rather good insulator. So even though you are only losing very little heat, the snow on top of the snow directly on the roof helps trap that heat at the bottom. So the first layer will melt.
