You shouldn't need a sealant if you get the right size tubing. If you have to run the tubing through the fuel tank as an example, cut the end of the tubing with a razor blade or sharp knife at an extreme angle to make a point at the end of the tube like you would sharpen a pencil. It will go through the hole easier and you can square it off later.
