- Q: I am creating a mini haunted house in my backyard and i wanted to cover my trampoline/full backyard with a large black sheet. Or many small/medium sheets that would cover an area of about 850 Sq. Feet....Anyone know of a website that i could buy this from
- Why not buy yard goods? You can get it any any fabric store; Wal Mart being the cheapest. How about using black nylon net? It comes in 72 inch wide at 57c a yard At Wal Mart. Since everything will be dark net would probably work just fine. Your next best bet would be that plastic sheeting they use for ground cover under plants. If you go with the netting; be sure that is what you ask for do not let them talk you into tulle (pronounced tool) it is much finer, and much more expensive and not as wide.
- Q: Any cheap alternatives to the plastic stencil sheets?
- A couple ideas of the top of my head -Masonite is super cheap, light and durable composite wood (if you're still going to use a jigsaw to cut the shape) -really viscous acrylic paint (make sure to put vaseline coated shapes in where you want your spray paint to go through -card stock + knives
- Q: How do I get the protective film for the kraft paper on the plastic board?
- From the beginning of a corner, slowly with a nail to pull from the corner, then slowly tear, while tear tear in the side roll, some local glue is tight, fingernails, to be up to 6, the 7 lap will be able to hand held, will be able to slowly tear the whole. The key is not to worry, where there are sticky tight place, stop with a nail scratch, not hard to drag.
- Q: I noticed a black plastic sheet that would unroll and cover my polaroids as they came out of the camera and once they were out, it would roll back it. I thought this was bad, so I ripped it out and threw it away. I noticed that this black plastic sheet was also on my older polaroid, and I realized that I probably shouldn't have ripped it out of my other polaroid camera. What does this sheet do and will it affect my camera at all?
- Well it's really obvious that you should have done your home work sport! The black plastic sheet distributes the processing chemicals evenly across the face of the photo so it can develop. Had you read up like you should you'd have known this. Next pack of Polaroid film you buy, just leave the thing alone and let do it's thing.
- Q: plastic sheet as in like for lamination, with the transparent sheets... PLEASE REPLY!!
- IT WILL MELT unless is for laser printers
- Q: Can plastic sheets be used for protective film applications?
- Yes, plastic sheets can be used for protective film applications. Plastic sheets are often used as a cost-effective solution to protect surfaces from scratches, stains, and other damages. They can be easily applied and removed, providing temporary or long-term protection for a variety of surfaces such as windows, floors, furniture, and electronic screens.
- Q: In the stores, adhesive scrapbooking embellishments are usually stuck to a clear sheet of plastic in their packaging. What is this material and where can you find it in bulk or large sheets that can be cut down. Someone told me to try acetate (transparencies), but the adhesive stuck permanently to that material and could not be easily removed. Are there different kinds of acetate or is there something different I need to be using? I have a product that needs to be stuck to this material and this product will be sold so it must look professional...so don't tell me to tear the plastic out of my kid's Barbie doll packaging.
- I think that what you are looking for is called release paper, or release liner. You might also want to look for glassine release paper. Alternatively, some sprays might be available for you to make any or most papers into release film. Wax paper is also commonly used and more readily available, although you will not get that clear professional effect you want. I have added a couple of links for more information.
- Q: I would like just a small bit of hard plastic sheets. Probably the size of two A4 size paper. Anyone knows where I can get them in Singapore? (:
- Why would you ask us here in the US?
- Q: Am I on the board directly on the tapping screw, or do I plug the expansion tube first? Which is stronger?
- Therefore, it is not appropriate to use expansion bolts or expansion tubes on the boards.
- Q: I would like to put some plastic sheets on the windows of my apartment, preferably on the inside since I live on a high rise and can't reach the exterior. I've seen these plastic sheets that you can put on that partially block (or make hazy) how much you can see inside (especially at night when things are dark outside and the lights on on inside). What are they called and does anyone know where I can get them (preferably online)? Thanks!
- I do the same thing but with Saran wrap. Using rolls of tape to seal it completely. Works great.
