FAQ

1.    How do I decide which system is right for me ?

For protection from long outages, include a generator or solar panels in your Must solar system. Shorter outages can be handled by a battery-only system.

2.    Where my system will be installed ?

Must solar systems are usually wall-mounted near a home's main electrical (circuit breaker) panel.

3. How do I install my system ?

A must solar backup inverter is connected to a home electric system , we will supply detailed installation manual and videos for our customers .

How fast will my system respond to a power outage ?

Must solar inverters typically transfer to battery power in less than 16 milliseconds (less than 1/50th of a second).

What kind of batteries do the systems include ?

Must solar backup electric systems use special high-quality electric storage batteries.

Q:I have a solar panel that puts out 00v, .5 amps in full sun. Before I thought it would charge a 2v battery without a solar charger but then I talked to someone and they said that it was wasting a lot of power and could potentially hurt the battery. A second part to this question is what happens if I put it on a 72v battery without a controller. Thanks!
yes not good.. why would put 00volts to a 2 volt battery? the best you can hope for is to destoy the battery 3.6v max do not excide max amp on battery
Q:How much candle lights is required to operate a 205 watt solar panel?
That's hard to tell. A solar panel produces somewhere between 7 and 0W per square foot under sunlight exposure. You should calculate the light intensity of sunlight, and then calculate the light intensity of a candle (You'll have to look that up in some physics book or the internet) and then just multiply the number of candles until you match the intensity of sunlight. Realistically, you would need so many candles that you wouldn't be able to fit them in front of the solar panels, assuming you don't end up with a huge fireball.
Q:Green issues aside, are solar panels worth it, monetarily speaking?I don't mean that my house might be worth more or any of that. All I am asking is this: if I invest in a set of solar panels, will the cost be paid back to me over time? If so, how long will it takegt;Take into account the following:. Currently I pay the electric company around $00 per month2. I use around 400 kilowats of energy per monthI realize that exact numbers are hard to come by, but any opinions are welcome.
There are several factors to consider when looking into solar power for your house. If you want to replace your use of utility electricity with solar power for say a 500 - 2000 square foot home then the system will cost you at least $30000 - $50000 to install. You will also have the maintenance issue of your storage batteries, panels, and inverter which will eventually wear out over time. So lets say we have an optimistic price of $30000 for a whole house system (this would be really cheap), dividing this by your yearly consumption would give you the amount of years it would take for the expenditure to pay for itself (not counting maintenance which could be costly). The payoff would be about 25 years, so all things remaining equal, I would say that it is a bad investment. Solar panels as they are manufactured today do not have a very long life span. They will greatly decrease in efficiency after several years and will most likely need to be replaced in 0 years. The panels themselves are the greatest expense. You could problably find better ways to make/save more money by investing $30000 - $50000 somewhere else IMHO. Solar technology is still not at the point where it is profitable in the sense you are thinking about. Unless of course, there are huge tax incentives for you or large rebate programs through your local utility, but you would have to do the math on that as well. If you are thinking small as in a couple panels to supplement your utility electric, the above still applies as well. In fact will it take longer to recoup the cost of a smaller setup. Hope this helps!
Q:Are the solar panels on the roof just a gimik to get all the tree huggers to buy it, or are they actually a good, efficent design?
treehuggers already want priuses. the solar panel is meant to run an electric ac system that cool's the prius if the car gets too hot inside. its nice, but personaly, i'd rather have it charge the battery.
Q:What is the efficiency of solar panels?
The efficiency of solar panels refers to how effectively they convert sunlight into usable electricity. Generally, the efficiency of solar panels ranges from 15 to 20 percent, with some advanced models achieving efficiencies of up to 23 percent. However, it's important to note that the efficiency can vary depending on various factors such as the type of panel, its age, location, and environmental conditions.
Q:How do I choose the right size of solar panels for my home?
To choose the right size of solar panels for your home, you need to consider the available roof space, your energy consumption, and your budget. First, assess the area on your roof that can accommodate solar panels and determine its orientation and shading. Then, calculate your average monthly electricity usage to estimate the system size required to meet your needs. Lastly, take your budget into account and consider the cost-effectiveness of different panel sizes. Consulting with a solar professional can also provide valuable guidance in determining the right size for your specific requirements.
Q:How does the snow cover get removed from the panels?
Green energy magically makes the snow transparent. The more I learn about solar and wind, particularly selling excess power back to the utility, the less sense it makes. You'll have noticed, perhaps, that there was no way to store the power from the panels for when it's really needed.
Q:What happens to solar panels during a power outage?
During a power outage, solar panels are unable to generate electricity because they rely on the grid to function. This is because most solar panel systems are grid-tied and do not have a battery backup. Without power from the grid, solar panels are effectively rendered inactive until the power is restored. However, there are alternative solar panel systems with battery storage that can continue to provide electricity during an outage.
Q:Can solar panels be installed in areas prone to hurricanes or tornadoes?
Yes, solar panels can be installed in areas prone to hurricanes or tornadoes. However, additional precautions and engineering considerations need to be taken to ensure their durability and resistance against strong winds and potential impact from debris. This can include using reinforced mounting systems, implementing proper anchoring techniques, and selecting panels that meet stringent wind load requirements.
Q:so...do you think an online store dedicated to selling solar panels/systems will be a good business idea? Since green energy is the 'hottest' growing business area recently with usage growing about 30% per annum and investors putting all their money into solar energy, wind farms, biofuel, etc. I think when you sell solar systems online this will be the most appealing business model to the end customer...especially if you offer free installation on orders of say $000.
My guess is that you must discover everything concerning green energy at www.okorder .
