Q:What are the raw materials for producing plastic bottles?
Most of the beverage bottles are made of plastic. They are mainly made of polyethylene or polypropylene and added a variety of organic solvents. Polyethylene, polypropylene, these two materials non-toxic, tasteless, used to fill drinks, etc., is very safe for the human body. But once the polyethylene is subjected to high temperature or acid corrosion, it dissolves slowly and releases organic solvents, which can cause harm to the human body.
Q:Plastic Hairbrush SCIENCE PROJECT!!10 points!!?
Plastic is chosen for hairbrushes because it weighs less than metal and its heat conductivity is lower (if you touch you head by a metal hairbrush it feels cold). If you drop a plastic hairbrush or bend it a little, it won't break, so plastic is a rather safe material. Besides, it's easy to give different shapes to plastic. as for the origin and history, see Wikipedia
Q:Please help me.?
It is a liner for something, a waste bin for example, that is made of plastic.
Q:A green plastic watering can.....?
Fake Plastics Trees - Radiohead Fake Plastic Trees Lyrics Artist(Band):Radiohead Review The Song (18) Print the Lyrics Send Radiohead polyphonic ringtone to your cell phone Her Green plastic watering can For her fake Chinese rubber plant In the fake plastic earth. That she bought from a rubber man In a town full of rubber plans. to get rid of itself. And It Wears Her Out, it wears her out It wears her out, it wears her out. She lives with a broken man A cracked polystyrene man Who just crumbles and burns. He used to do surgery For girls in the eighties But gravity always wins. And It Wears Him Out, it wears him out It wears him out, it wears him out. She looks like the real thing She tastes like the real thing My Fake Plastic Love. But I can't help the feeling I could blow through the ceiling If I just turn and run And It Wears Me Out, it wears me out It wears me out, it wears me out. And if I could BE who you wanted If I could BE who you wanted, All the time, all the time, ohhh... ohh...
Q:Superglue off plastic??
You didn't say what kind of plastic, but I'll bet the superglue has actually melted the plastic so you can't just get it off without leaving a mess. Plastic glue usually works by melting the plastic pieces where they join, then when the plastic hardens both part are kind of welded together.
Q:Best product for reconnecting plastic?
A hobby store or a warhammer store will supply plastic glue this glue melts most plastics into thick goo that can then be stuck together so that it is like 1 piece of plastic not 2 pieces held together closely. keep an eye out for super toy worlds which have plastic glues that come with a hollow needle used for extremely fine gluing
Q:Why are things made of plastic?
plastic is cheaper and easier to shape than metal (or wood). plastic is not considered eco-friendly, unless it is made from vegetative sources, and is biodegradable
Q:can i get sick by chewing plastic?
The plastic is not melting, and packaging used for foods in the US, must be non-toxic, and biologically neutral as far as the human body goes. More than likely it is not the plastic of the cap making you sick, but rather all the dirt and crud on your hands that ended up on the cap (or dirt/germs on it before). You said a little girl pushed you, you work around kids often? If you do, little kids are the biggest vector of disease in our society, as kids are much more likely to be around in large groups, and younger kids are not exactly up to speed hygienically speaking. The plastic does not melt till well over 150 degrees used in beverage packaging, and some packaging can take even higher temps. chewing plastic can result in plastic being wedged between teeth, causing teeth to loosen and possibly advance dental problems, including cavities, and gum disease. Don't forget, whatever was on the plastic you are putting into your mouth!!!!
Q:What are the 6 most common plastics?
Thermo Plastics (soften when heated): Polyethylene, Polyvinyl chloride, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Polyethylene terephalate, Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, Polymethyl methacrylate, Polyamide. Thermosetting Plastics (release heat as they harden): Polyurethane, Phenolic, Melamine-formaldehyde, Urea-formaldehyde, Polyester, Epoxy. There are the names of 14 plastics I could remember. I have no idea how to figure out which are the six most popular. Perhaps you should do a search on each one, with an additional parameter to narrow the search. For example, Polyethylene+ global-annual-production Don't use the quotation marks; no space before but one space after the plus; no spaces before or after the hyphen. Once you know the global annual production of each type, you could rank them in order and find the most popular types. Why do teachers ask such idiotic questions? They sound so easy, but finding the true facts is always nearly impossible. Why couldn't they just say, Name six common plastics. Oh well, it's your problem, not mine. Oops! Forgot the last part of the question. It is generally impossible to describe the appearance of a particular type of plastic. Their names refer to the chemical structure of their molecules and their appearance depends largely on techniques used during manufacture. Another idiotic teacher question, hopelessly vague and nearly impossible to answer. Again, it's your problem. Bye....................
Q:After plastic surgery, can one feel the unnatural plastic inside of them?
In plastic surgery, at times they use implants, these implants are made of silicone NOT plastic. For example, most rhinoplasty procedures do not include inserting a nose silicone implant, however, some people have a flat nose, a low bridge nose or not a defined nose bridge (African and Asian noses for example), this will lead the plastic surgeon to add a silicone implant. A person can feel this, and if the procedure was not successful, than it can be obvious. Just remember, plastic surgery, does not use real plastic. it is just called plastic surgery.
