Q:Plastic and fingernail, which is harder?
It depends on which plastic you're talking about. Different plastics have different hardnesses, and some will be scratched by a fingernail, while others will not. Check to see if you can find what the material is made of. Usually plastics will have an acronym printed on them that gives the chemical name - common ones are PE (polyethylene), PS (polystyrene), PVC (poly vinyl chloride), PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), etc. Once you know the chemical name, try checking wikipedia on that compound or typing in the name of the plastic and Mohs hardness or hardness into Google. Oh. Also, the Mohs hardness of a fingernail is 2.5. The scale goes from 1 to 10, talc being a 1 and diamond being a 10.
Q:After plastic surgery, can one feel the unnatural plastic inside of them?
There is not plastic in plastic surgery. This comes from a Greek word 'plastikos' meaning to mold or shape. That is why plastic surgery is called plastic surgery, because it is surgery that involves molding and shaping. Now, to answer your question, I believe the only procedures where something 'foreign' can be felt would be any type of silicone implant. Whether that is breast implants, peck implants, buttocks implants or the occasional calf-implant. That being said, it should and most of the time does feel like the body part it is enhancing. So, a breast implant, due to the volume and shape of the implant will feel closely to a natural breast (silicone achieves this more often than saline). Similarly, because it is more dense, a peck implant would feel more like a lean muscle. With regards to body procedures, most of those require removing excess skin or fat-deposits, so nothing would be felt, since nothing is added. This is the same for facial procedures too...aside from a chin/cheek implant. These, due to their size and shape, will feel more like cartilage found in the area naturally. I hope this helps better your understanding? :)
Q:Degus and plastic question?
Yes, it is OK but u should put in something else other than the [plastic wheel for ur degu to chew on. The pet stores sell things for hamsters/rabbits/ferrets/rats and pet mice that u can purchase.
Q:Thermo softening plastics? best answer 10 points?
Thermosetting And Thermosoftening Plastics
Q:what do u think about Plastic Surgery?
I believe that if someone feels that plastic surgery will boost their confidence, then go for it, I support this aspect of it. But I also oppose it because God made our body parts look like this naturally for a reason, it is God's gift and he did not make any wrong decisions. But then again sometimes I think about getting plastic surgery because of dissatisfaction in some body features... I would think about doing it but I wouldn't actually ever do it. This is the only reason, but if I was not christian and was an atheist I would probably go for plastic surgery if I am not happy with something.
Q:cleaning melted plastic on appliances.?
You can try heating up the plastic with a hair dryer and using a plastic spatula to scrape it off.
Q:Tongue jewelry? Metal, Plastic?
i have my tongue pierced and i always wear steel but u can wear a plastic one after its fully healed. the only reason i wear steel all the time is cuz plastic iritates my tongue for some reason.lol. but u can get all colors and even get them with sets in them. u will find what is comfortable just try a bunch of different ones and see what u like. they arent very expensive. u can change it all the time after its healed just dont take it out for long cuz it will close up. tongues heal really fast.
Q:How to make plastic molds?
challenging stuff. query using yahoo or google. that might help!
Q:which bottles are better glass or plastic?
i dont like the glass bottles. Dr. Browns is pricey but they have the best bottles out there i think. the baby barely gets any air if they were to get air. you can try the avent, ive always been a fan of those, but my daughter cant use them, as she is a little tongue tied, and they frustrate her.
Q:Cancer caused by plastic?
Yes the fumes from burning plastic releases harmful chemicals that can cause cancer. The main cancer causing type of plastic, when it is burned is, Poly-Vinyl Chloride, or PVC, it is a commonly used plastic for vinyl flooring, drain pipes, guttering, shampoo bottles, packaging, children's toys and many other things. Burning garbage, the fumes contain 350-times more cancer-causing substances than cigarette smoke.
