FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:i know NOTHING about how to do it or what i need. Could someone just list all the tools and equipment i would need to buy or rent to complete this job myself? ie, tiles, tile cutter, ?, ?, ?... etc. thanks.
Tile, tile cutter, tape measure, chalk line, square, marker, measure your kitchen first and times width by length to get square footage so you will know how much tile to buy. Depending on the tile you may want to have someone at the store help decide what would be better in your room. You may need a spreader, tile cement, or mortar mix and grout , grout sealer etc.....
Q:The tile is blue and white and are each about 3x3 inches wide? Can you lay new tile over the top or paint it?
Screw 1/4 plywood over the tile and apply the mosaic over that....
Q:I live in an apartment and ive never had floor tiles like these. There is concrete underneath but I think these are ceramic tiles on top.I have no clue what to use to bring back the shine.Any suggestions would be helpful
Elbow grease.
Q:What‘s the difference between tile mastic tile adhesive? I was told to paint the wall w/paint primer first then use tile adhesive rather than tile mastic to apply tiles on damaged green board around my jaccuzzi tub for a quick fix. The green paper peeled off when removing the old tile exposing the brown cardboard stuff.
Mastic is a glue, an adhesive. It is used for wall tile, but not in a shower. Thinset is a portland cement based product that is used on floor tile and for any large wall tile application or if a wall tile is going to be used in a high water area like a shower. I answered your second question on your other post.
Q:I have this ceramic tile in my bathroom (on the wall, not the floor). There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, except it is an incredibly ugly color. I would like to paint it, rather than rip it all down just to put up more tile. Any suggestions?
Yes, okorder
Q:Have very cheap lino in my kitchen. Am thinking of putting tile down myself.
It is not good because the linoleum is a soft surface and this would cause the tiles to crack. It is better to remove the linoleum. Even if you have to lay the tile over glue residue or some paper backing that remains after trying to remove the linoleum this is better than laying the tile over the soft linoleum.
Q:I applied sealer to Mexican tile and within a few hours, it rained. The finish on the tiles now is cloudy. Will this clear with time as everything dries or should I bake the tiles to burn off the water trapped in the sealer?
The cloudiness you see is called blushing--the remedy will depend on the finish that you used. If it a lacquer you can use blush eliminator, I have never tried it on shellac or enamel. It may go away after it is dry however. Sometimes the moisture in the air will cause the finish to blush.
Q:If you were going to tile an entire room would you start from the walls or floor? The room is only small 12m walls 4m floor is a basic toilet basin. There are no border tiles no fllor to wall tiles.
To be honest with you it does not matter if you do the floor or walls first. Some people prefer not to do the floor first as they will make a mess of the floor when doing the walls and it will take additional time to cover or clean the floor. And NO you do not always start in the center. In some cases starting in the center will cause you to have very small cut tiles on the edges. You should measure and find the center and dry test tiles with the 1st tile centered in the room checking to find the cut size of the tiles on the outside end. You should never have a tile less than 1/2 on the end. Example a 1 or 2 cut tile is a mistake if the tiles are 6 or larger. If the tile is less than 1/2 its size then start with the 1st tile on the edge of the center line. Always keep the same size cuts on both sides and never end up with small pieces.
Q:How to choose a good tiles
Tiles good three points to see the body seven points to see the glaze tiles good, three points to see the body seven to see the glaze, that is really decided to really good tile tile surface is the glaze. When you buy, you can touch the front of the brick body by hand, feel the brick surface is delicate, and then close the eyes to watch, glaze granules are rough, the color is pure, good gloss, only delicate touch, Glaze granules fine, pure color, good gloss tiles, is better. To the back of the tiles to see the low water absorption is not low water level is also an important factor in determining the quality of tiles. The manager of the sixth space Douglas tiles shop recommended a quick and effective test method: pouring directly on the back of the tile, if it is a low-density tiles, the water soon penetrated, and the good brick had a long time There will be no signs of water seepage. The more difficult to cut the quality of the brick but the better choice of tiles must be difficult to choose the brick!
Q:As in the tile you find as back splashes behind sinks.
I am a tile setter and also a professional flooring salesman and i will tell you that regaurdless of what paint you put on the tile it will not stay on forever as the tiles are glazed and then fired to set in the color that is already on the tile. That surface is impervious to anything. You can try epoxy paint but just be prepaired for when it will begin to crack and peel. Best of luck to you though.
