Q:A 67.0- painter is on a uniform 21- scaffold supported from above by ropes. There is a 3.8- pail of paint to one side. The ropes are 1m inside the scaffold on each side. The pail is 1m away from the left rope and 3m from the right rope. The scaffold is a 6m. How close to the right end can he approach safely? How close to the left end can he approach safely?
First of all...no units, no answer. Second of all...according to OSHA (Occupation Safety and Health Administration), NO ONE can walk on a scaffold beam outside the support ropes OR SET ANY OBJECT DOWN outside the support ropes. Hence the answers for both questions are 1 meter. It doesn't matter what a calculation will yield...NO ONE can walk on the beam outside the support ropes safely. Even if a torque balance yields that it will not put the ropes in compression and buckle them...it still isn't considered to be safe by OSHA if the painter is outside the ropes.
Q:Find the demolishing scheme of scaffold
Removal of scaffolding shall comply with the following requirements:11.2.1 removal operations must be carried out from top to bottom, prohibited from top to bottom operation at the same time;11.2.2 even wall pieces must be removed with the scaffolding layer by layer, is strictly prohibited even after the first wall or a few layers of the demolition of the dismantling of scaffolding; demolition of the height difference should not be greater than 2 steps, such as the height difference is greater than the 2 step, should be added to strengthen the wall;
Q:What is the service life of the mobile scaffolding accessories?
In actual use, there are a lot of mobile scaffolding accessories because of deformation, and other reasons, resulting in a lot of scaffolding accessories are not easy to use, or even eliminated. Therefore, the overall life of about 5 years. Therefore, the use of mobile scaffolding accessories should pay attention to the maintenance, so that its useful life to get more, the value of the use of more perfect.
Q:Can you identify Scaffold Grade Aluminum tubing by looking at it.?
The grade or type of Aluminum Alloy materials can not be identified visually because they are almost all the same in appearance. Normally these materials are marked with there Alloy number or designation like, 6061- T6, at certain intervals so that users can distinguish them.
Q:Fastener type steel pipe scaffold composed of two components? What are the roles?
Bowl buckle steel pipe scaffolding when using steel pipe, as a "single steel pipe scaffolding"; when using the steel cross bar, for the "steel pipe based scaffold".2.2 according to the vertical and horizontal transmission force between the vertical and horizontal1) the frictional force acting on the contact surface. That is, the friction force at the contact surface of the joint is pressed to support the load of the cross bar and is transmitted to the vertical rod;2) welding force. Most of the cross bar and vertical rod socket connection is used in this way, the door frame is also this way;3) direct pressure transmission. This method is more common in the horizontal bar placed in the top of the scaffolding;4) shear force of pin. That is to say, the connecting rod and the hole of the vertical rod are connected by the pin rod through the vertical connecting plate of the transverse rod to realize the double side shear action of the connecting rod and the pin rod. This method is rarely seen in the connection between the rod and the vertical rod.
Q:does anyone know where i can find dimmesdale's confession (at night) of his sins upon the scaffold.?
Dimmesdale does not confess to his crimes on the scaffold at night, but he does meet with Hester and little Pearl on the scaffold while Chillingsworth watches. (pg. 220) His public confession comes at the end of the book during the day time and then he dies.(pg. 367) Follow the link I have attached and type in the page numbers in the little box near the top of the page.
Q:What's an antonym for the word scaffold?
Since a scaffold is a bridge/ladder/support used to allow you to span the gap between you and and object you wish to reach, I'd go with barrier.
Q:I've had my scaffolding piercing for about a week now and when cleaning i've just dabbed the hydrogen peroxide and salt water around my ear. However i read that i should be rotating it when cleaning it. Should i rotate it after only a week?
Do what the piercer told you to do. If they didn't say and you are concerned, ring them and ask. Personally I would say don't; the fluid that the piercing naturally leaks while healing can cake on the bar and dry into tiny but alarmingly sharp lumps. If you push these into the piercing accidentally while turning it it will really really hurt! They can also damage the newly forming tissue, delaying healing and possibly creating excess scar tissue. The bar will move naturally with the movements of your body anyway within the constraints of (sorry if you're squeamish but I can't put it any more delicately) any crusting around the bar. Just keep it clean and keep hair and face products away from it and it should be great.
Q:If you have two workers say standing on a scaffolding, their are downward forces from the weight of the workers along with the weight of the scaffold, and upward forces from tension suspending the scaffolding in place. The opposite forces add to zero and thus the scaffolding remains at rest.My question has to do with what would occur if more/less workers were on the scaffolding. It appears to me that the scaffolding would always remain at rest. Would there always be a ΣF=0 regardless of the amount of workers? As the decreases in weight from removing a worker would also cause the tension force to be weaker? And vice versa if there were more workers?I
You are correct so long as the scaffolding is not allowed to move. I.e. the cables suspending it are locked and not unwinding from their spools as more workers get on. More weight added would necessarily increase the tension in this type of case. However, if, when another worker got on and the tension could not increase for what ever reason, a downward acceleration would take place that is proportional to the worker's weight. Hope that clears things up.
Q:Every time someone in medieval times was murdered by the beheading a new scaffold was built for the next prisoner.
Well that's not entirely true; they didn't ALWAYS built a new scaffold. Probably movies let you think so but that was not the case.
